This is a question about Devilfish as troop choices. The codex seems to suggest that a DF can be taken as its own troop choice. It also says that a Firewarrior unit can be mounted in a DF as a transport option. My question is this: can I take a DF as a troops choice without attaching it to a FW unit? For example, if I were to take a unit of 12 FW and a DF, would it count as 2 Troops choices if the DF was not a transport upgrade for the FW?
No it is simply an upgrade for the FW alot of people get it wrong the DF doesn't count as a troops choice and you can't take one by itself.
You can take it for the FW and just not mount them in it but then it is still a dedicated transport thus it can't transport anything else other then the squad you bought it for.
It doesn't think, it doesn't feel,
It doesn't laugh or cry.
All it does, from dusk 'till dawn,
Is make the soldiers die.
