What is a good troop base for a 2000 regular eldar army? I am new to eldar and would like to get some advice. Just a good solid troop base.

    Guardians work ^_^.

Try 20-40 Guardians in 2K points, split however you want, with at least one Grav Support Weapon.

Hmm - I would expect more than one unit of Guardians in a 2000 point eldar army.

The big point here is to start small and build up though, Eldar have a proliferation of unit types, you need to try them out and see which ones you like best

thank you, both of you, you hae ben a great help. I do have a theme, i want though, 4 squads of 10 guardians with a support weapon, 2 wave serpents filled with striking scorpions and howling banshiees. A squad of dark reapers, 1-2 falcons, and a squad of warwalkers. I love the tanks in the eldar army and i plan to field at least 3 wave serpents. Should i go for this? Any suggestions?

Get a Wraithlord definately, will draw a LOT of fire away from all the other stuff, while delivering Weapony goodness at the same time.

Well the Farseer because he is the best all round HQ (and HQ's are compulsory in a standard mission) and the Warlocks to give the Farseer that extra oomph!

Actually I would want more than 2 warlocks, I would want all 5 so you can pimp some out to those gaurdain squads to use enhance and conceal

Hah.."Pimping" out Guardian Squads... Warlocks are more 2+ to wound attacks, if nothing else. Throw in the best psychic powers in the game, and how can you lose?
