Are there any Tyranids wich have invunerable saves?

so that none of it`s lies can affect me."

R U 0K!??!? BUHHHHST WUUUULFFFFF!!!
nope the tyranid army is built for attack not defence
You're both sort of wrong. Bio-titans with warp field get a 2+ save and a 4+ invulnerable save. Good luck convincing your opponent to let you use one though...
see there is where I don't get GW reasoning why does Warp Feild give a Bio-Titan an Invunerable save but not a Tyrant a tyrnat that can be killed by a few good lascannon shots. its sad very sad
I was wondering about this. What are Inv. Saves? I know what they are in the game but what are they really? Like for the Chaplain, does he get a special magical force field around him or something?
I think there's a box of text in the BBB about that question - "Our weapons are useless!!"
Short answer, yes, Invs. are for force fields, magical whatnots and other weird stuff of an ultra-tech warp-plagued future that make you tough to kill, but usually not by actually making you tougher (which would just be an armor save improvement).
High AP weapons are just so overkilling that they'd make a mockery of normal armour - but weird stuff like Tau force fields or Eldar psychic defences or extremely high maneouvrability that gives you a chance to evade the weapon altogether can give you a chance to survive that the toughest armor would not.
Termies get it for balance reasons, but I don't know of any fluff reason why they should.
Can anybody think of other fluffy reasons to get an Inv. save? What else get Inv. saves?
Tau shields generators (why they can't fit one on their vehicles...)
Eldar psychic defences (or whatever reason the psychics get I saves)
Eldar jetbike jinking (last second chance to evade)
SM Iron Halo (force field or Emperor's divine protection?)
Terminators (supposedly, their armor is just that incredibly tough... but in effect, this makes them tougher than actual dreadnoughts, which is ludicrous)
C'tan (for their necrodermis and for making a mockery of physical law)
Actually warpfield gives a monstrosity a 2+ save and a biotitan (the ones with mass points) only a 5+ invunerable save, as it gets upgraded to the invunerable one therefore it is replaced. Anway you's are right it is stupid not for Tyrants and carnifexes to not have invunerable saves. I mean Chaos Greater Deamons get a 4+ INVUNERABLE SAVE, what worse is that the blood thirster/ bloodletters/ deamon princes get invunerable saves AND armour saves.
Yet a world eaters army can get a 4+ invunerable save and DOUBLE ATTACKS for a measily 25 pts or is it 40. Anyway it is really annoying me.
Another thing is a Lictor should get a 4+ invunerable save in combat, just like Wyches, a Lictor is supposed to be supper quick, a Tyranid Predator (like in the movies) yet it can easily be killed in combat as they dont have enough attacks to kill a whole heap and with the new combat rules ie casualties can come from within 2' then there will be some enemy left to attack tyhe T4 5+save Lictor
Anyway Im ranting now
How victory may be produced for them out of the enemy's
own tactics--that is what the multitude cannot comprehend.
"Quantity has a Quality of it's own"
Yes they may need to change a few things in forth edition on the Tyranids to make them more balanced considering they took all our CC abilites and shot them to hell and back.
Like they will need to adjust STBO
Maybe give us a 5+ Inv save on tyrants and Carnifexs if they have Extended Carapace and Warp Feild or something like that
give us some better ranged support maybe instead of making all the gaunt guns 12" they could make the fleshborer 24" and the spine fists 18" or something like that and increase the range on the deathspitter to 24" considering its only -1 AP value than a Stormbolter when equiped on a warrior which is the only thing that usually has them equiped in my army that is.
tweak the AP value on some of the guns like maybe give us more than one weapon that can take out a marines armour that does not require a psy test to use.
this just might be me but I would like them to add a few new psy powers to the list considering most of them are noteven worth taking in a army unless you can spare points.
also maybe a new CC weapon that ignores armour saves cause its a big bluggeoning thing or something I don't know about you but I am not the best person when it comes to rolling 6's for rendering claws maybe make them power claws or something like that.
I know that they will include the strangle gaunts and the impaler gaunts in the new edition so that takes care of some new gaunt species but maybe a new HQ choice I know there is not much but maybe they could make a Dominatrix or something that has a farther synapse range and could be equiped diffrently than that of the Tyrant.
I don't some of those suggestions sound good but what do you guys think?
Termies fluff for the 5+ is called "Crux Terminatus". It represents the "Je ne se quas" (spelled wrong) of being a Termie. The all around kick ass ness and uber ness of the guy in the suit. Its luck, skill, dodging, and experiance.
