Can you help me out i find the models very cool But i am not sure what to do Buy Necrons or not to buy them Can anyone make me choise easyer for me My mate's got a Dark angels army do necrons give them a good fight for there money ?
anyways Your thougts and advice as well as a starting army list will be greatly apriciated bij yours truely
My Thanks in advance
I think Necrons are a great choice for an army. It was my second choice...like almost everyone, I went with SM first.....anyway, they are easy to paint. I finished thousands of point in a very short time. Warriors and destroyers(my main units) come in gobs in the army box....get a lord and you are rolling.
They can give any army a run for their money. You should build a 1000 pt list, proxy it and figure out what works for you before taking the plunge.
It is a very good shooting army. Every shooting unit is anti-tank. You get decent "shock troops" with immortals. Monolith is the best albeit the cheesiest tank in the whole darn game. You get some teleporting with the lord. All your fast attack are good....so good it is hard to decide....
so basicly Necrons Rule!
Ok then Its Official
There Numer Is Now Legion There name Is Now Death
Well i think that Davesnothereman has got it right. albet i would through in some wraith b/c when i use them vs SM they tend to work well when they are not faced with a CC squad. They also play fairly well vs Tau as the tau dont really do anything but shoot
Hurdle The Weak
Trample The Dead!-Thorin
Don't they get borring though - that is what people where I play say - I want to take them, but am affraid that they are same deal as my Sisters - shoot and hope for no return charge... I would want a more diverse (customizable) army, but do not want to spend a year painting it... Help!
