Welcome to Librarium Online!
I would like to know if anyone has created an Orky army list that does NOT involve an excessive number of vehicles. I recently started playing someone who runs a 'vehicle destroyer' army, so I'm aiming for zero vehicles. No trukks, no Kans, nothing looted; and I'm burned clear out of ideas.
I shall use all of my armies to their fullest power.
My Angels are a sword to cut my own path.
My Orks are a hammer to crush my enemies.
Fear me, for I shall rule this Galaxy by my own Hand.
just run massive amounts of boys units. i don't see anyone being able to bring enough firepower to bear to really stop it either. if i did it i'd run lots of regular boys then mobs of skar boys behind and literally hammer my way into combat. i also have a huge soft spot with storm boys so i'd try to add at least 1 mob. you army would be enormous, and you would have a fun time if you added in all burnas and rokkits as the rokkit squads can go for vehicles and burnas right into combat.
40K-Beakies(9-14-4),Guard(4-7-2),Orks(34-12-11). FANTASY-Dwarves(15-6-7),Beasts (14-14-1), Skaven (17-17-10) DoC (6-1-2). CYGNAR (28-15-1)
you should see my list in the army list part.

In cult of speed you have to have a lot of amour, but in normal orks you can have just all footsloggers and be pretty good. If you hae numbers.
Prey they don't take you alive
I currently field three footslogger armies.
The first is a large badmoon shooty army, consisting of a Warboss and large Nob retinue (armed with big shootas), lots of well equipped Flashgitz mobs (you can take them as troop choices in a Badmoon clans), full strength Shoota mobs, a few forcefield equipped Burna mobs and a couple of large Grot mobs. The tactic with this horde isnt close combat, instead I try to outshoot the opponent. The lack of expensive vehicles usually means I can have more boys and outgun most opponents.
The second is a more tradidional Goff themed army. It consists of just skarboy mobs, each at maximum size and equipped with three rokkit launchas each. This allows me to always be a threat to distant enemy vehicles as I advance, leaving just enemy troops left by the time I hit the enemy lines. This army sometimes fields Kans and Dreads as extra support if I have points spare.
I also have a small Bloodaxe horde, consisting of six Kommando gangs, each equipped with rokkit launchas and ammo grots. I can start with the entire army infiltrated in the enemies rear or up close for a very short and brutal game.
As MouseC112 says, having a massive amount of boys means that it will take a long time for the enemy to kill you off and disrupt your battle plan. Just having small, individual, expensive mobs, ie, one of this, one of that, one buggy, etc is a recipe for disaster as losing your only unit of something can cripple you. Having lots of shoota boys, or lots of choppas means you can just go with one tactic and stick with it throughout the game dispite the casualties the enemy are inflicting on you. Big mobs also means you get to make the most of mob size checks, mobbing up, waaagh tests, etc.
If you drop a shell on your foot an it don't urt, your shoota aint big enough!
