I have been looking around the internet at Tyranid army lists; and i have not seen any that have more than 8 gargoyles. If i did find any; it was because they collected 5000pt armies and had 20 of practically every thing.

I was wondering how many gargoyles other people have in thier armies.

P.S i have 20 to start off in my 2000pt army to start off.

Probably because gargs come in blisters of 2 and gaunts in boxes of 16. It´s cheaper to collect gaunts than gargs.

yes forking out money for gargolyes is soo hard(for me). i heard a rumor that there was gona be a plastic Carnifex, we dont need them we need plastic gargolyes, although from what i can tell the tyranids might be abit too powerful if everyone had lots of gargolyes, so i think the GW made them expensive to make less ppl use them.

We already have plastic Gargoyles...

Gaunt + FBorer + ScyTal + Greenstuff + Flying stand
= Gargoyle

Make the wings out of ScyTal and greenstuff.

Glue the Wings and FBorer on the body.

Model the Bio-Plasma from greenstuff.

Glue it on the flying stand.

There You go, a plastic Gargoyle! Lighter than the original, cheaper than the original! From every Gaunt box, You can build 8 Gargoyles and 8 Spinegaunts.

Hmmm, gee... Gargoyle bioweapon which begins with an F and ends with -borer... What could it be?

Hint: Termagaunts have the same ranged Bioweapon.

Just look at the Codex Tyranids and it should become clear to You.

i dont field any gargoyles, there far too expensive (money wise) in comparison with gaunts. Ive never used gargs and never watched people play gargs so they have never caught my attention, however they do seem kinda cool, maybe ill convert sum like Uzi's sounds fun and far less expensive.

My hormagaunts do good enough. Sure they might not be able to move 12 and than another D6, but moving 6 plus a D6 and assaulting 12 is good enough. Remember Gargs cant go into cover, so they are an easy target.

I dont have any Gargs in my army.

They cant go into cover?!?!
*checks codex*
wow.... thank kinda kills them, still fast tho... i dont fink ill be getting gargs anymore i use cover alot as protection, and hiding in seems like a squad of horms is more favourable than a squad of gargs now
