What makes a good tau kill team? I dont see that tau has many real good options for a kill team at the moment. i thought maybe a mix of fire warriors and pathfinders, but i wasnt sure. or even a few stealth suits, even though the brute squads would get hell of a lota extras. What do u guys think about this? Any ideas for tau kill teams?
a unit of stealth gives your aponent soo much extra but almost grants you victory ont he spot. 6 bust cannons will annihilate a brute sq
tau seems to be an inigma when it comes to kill teams, kroot are an option if you want a more themed team, or a shaper and finders/ fire warriors
Yeah the tau have no decent kill team w/out breaking some mutable rules.
I wouldn't do pathfinders. The squad the are part of is the only squad and they can't benefit from their own markerlights.
I think the Stealths would work well. Maybe just 3 then fill the rest out with drones or targeting arrays.
You won't need the bonding knife since its a kill team. Probably can't use the assault move w/out adding an alarm token.
The best is a full squad of vespids,
because their ap 3 weaponry will always take out 2-3 spacemarines. plus their high init means they attack first, and they have wings, fleet of wing, skilled flyer.
and you don't need any other units at all.
doesn't give your opponent much extra.

I'd take a small team of stealthsuits with targeting arrays.. Yes, you'd break a lot of mutable laws, but to be honest, I wouldn't play kill team to win, because it's just too easy. Taking wierd and wonderful teams not only makes the game more fun but gives the brute player half a chance.. You can easily build an unstoppable kill team, it's harder to build a fun one.
As others have said, the tau seem to not exactly have that many options when it comes to kill teams. However, a gun drone squad could be useful, if a little dull. Their mobility, high initiative, and pinning capabilities could come in handy, although you would have to make them more than just 8 models to get anywhere near your potential point limit.
