sorry about the the missing space in between a and game i ran out of room. Anywho what was your must amazing stroke of luck you have ever had. I personally had a squad 2 spine guants they, during the shooting phase hit and wounded an immortal which then failed its armor save. The following turn it failed its wbb I was proud of my little guant. I believe that unit survived the entire game but im not quite sure it was a few days ago and I ahve a bad memory
My first game...A single ripper base VS. a venerable Dreadnaught (SW)
he rolled to hit..then he rolled 3 ones to wound with a power fist..so essentially it hit the rippers and they just got right back up.....this was the same dread that took out 14 spinegaunts with a heavy flamer in the same turn!
I considered it very lucky to have that ripper out live the DE army...
Worst luck: an orbital strike on an 8X4 table (two of them pushed together to accomadate all of our armies) and with the scatter dice the template lands square on top of my last gaunt....and they were my own dice
Best moment I have to say was, I was against some Flesh tearers and a Tau army on New Years Eve 2003 and my Old One Eye pretty much made the entire Flesh Tearer force tied up through out the entire battle and then he gave up and Old One Eye started to chase down Tau Crisis Suits, and he made all his saves until he was upagainst the Broadside and had one wound and he got shot down. in the same battle my hormigaunts were fighting fire warrior and there was one fire warrior and it was my turn and he was making his saves and if would have failed them I would have been shot to death by the second squad righ behind the first and geuss what he made all 5 of his saves next turn I killed him and swamped through the rest of the fire warriors it was pretty funny.
Long, long time ago. A 3 way battle with Tyranids(me), Black Temps, and Eldar. It was about 700-800 points and I didnt even have a Tyrant. Anyway the Eldar got completly destroyed, and all i had left was 7 Genestealers, he had a Emp. Champion and Chaplain about 18 inches away. We desided to play till the last man(or bug) standing. I launched my genestealers upwards. They got shot up, about 4 left. Next turn I moved and charged. I killed the Champion and wounded the Chaplain. He killed 2 of my guys. My 2 stealers did nothing, he killed another. And we did nothing for about 3 turns in a row. But finally he killed my last stealer. Poop... This is probably not the luckiest thing that happened to me, just the only one that i can remember.
i like to play till an army is obliterated anyway there was my lone rending gaunt on the charge against 2 count em 2 terminators my gaunt rolled 2 2 6's for hitting and a 5 and a 6 for wounding and they were destroyed imagine 88 pts gone by a single gaunt.
His friend next game ripped open a land raider in conclusion give em rending claws
I bet you think i have weighted dice
I believe you the necron player i play against tends to roll 666 alot and states thats evil I find it quite amusingOriginally posted by Tajormackedmorphinelongname@Feb 16 2004, 091
I bet you think i have weighted dice
its better than the TS player I play against he likes to roll ones.
Probably my most amusing stroke of luck was me(Tyranids) vs. a Blood Angel player. Barbed Strangler armed carnifex takes a potshot at a squad of BA scouts, and every model under the template failed their armor save.
Random BA Scout Sarge: All right men! Men?
Wen my WT, carnifex and zoanthorpes single handedly worked str8 through 2 2000 pts armies in a flanking move annhilating all in their path and eventually joining the rest of my force and wiping out the 3rd army, that was a great battle, loads of luck
