Righto Lads - I was wondering about some warriors.
I'm thinking of using some warriors with Scything talons and Devourers, Enhanced senses, and Extended carapace.
What do you guys think of this config - what would you rather use ? Allso does the extra attack from the talons carry over to the ranged weapons IE a extra shot ?
This thread has it all really
Discussion about various builds and setups.
And to answer your question on the talons:
The extra attack is for CC only

There is no such thing as an efficient warrior. They're too expensive and they do crap at whatever you buff them out too--devilfexes do shooting better and genestealers do CC better. People only really use them if they like the model, they don't have enough models, or need more synapse.
A decent warrior build either for CC or ranged will cost in the way of 30-40+ points each. That's in the range of terminators, some of the most difficult troops in the game to wound.

personally, rending claws, scy talons, leaping.
as above, they arent really efficient units, but leaping makes them able to carry rending around the board. and synapse helps share the 'control load'
go 'em cheap and nasty... small units of such make frustrating targets, they hurt, but are small unit strength and 'over there', try hit em hard with leaping. remember an opponent cant just send some missle launchers and instant kill, they must throw more focused/massed amounts of firepower. this absorption is great coupled with their "cheapness"
