Welcome to Librarium Online!
i have been raeding through some lists and i'm quite surprised by the lack of people using the shining spears.
these guys are awesome... my favuorite unit by far. they can out manourvre everything in the 40K map pretty much. they don't carry much in the way of fire power from distance but more then make up for it in close combat. these guys are on a par with the harlequins. they don't have the shear number of attacks as them but are tougher and dish out more high powered attacks. plus they can also dart in and out of combat with the hit and run rule offered with withdraw. you just have to make sure that you don't put them in CC where the opponent can counter attack to effect.
will be using these guys in almost all my lists.
GW gave them exactly what I wanted for this edition, plus goodies like dropping the brightlance for the starlance.
My favorite unit though is actually an HQ. I run a tricked out Farseer on a jetbike and the guy never dies and always helps seal the deal during crucial moments.
I am also fond of wraithguard and spiders, but I don't field the guard much any more since they dropped the points of bikes etc.
"Orcs are what happens when Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles grow old and bitter."
I'll have to say warp spiders. they are one of the few items in an eldar arsenal that can do multiple things w/o too many upgrades.
Of course, a fully kitted out squad is death to just about anything (vividly recalls annhiliating an entire squad of space marines (10 men w/sgt) in a turn of shooting and CC losing 2 spiders, then going on to kill the predator standing next to them.)
They are fast, have high strength high rate of fire weapons, and can hold their own in CC. What's not to like? (Aside from expensiveness, low strenth/toughness (flaws of all eldar foot troopers) and no AP weapon).
I'd have to go for seers.
I've always had a penchant for psykers. Dunno why, but I just like psykers.
Plain and simple, can't say much more.
I have to agree, warp spiders are just plain mean. The fun part is being asked "How many str 6 shots?"
Another squad will almost always benefit you more than a few upgrades to all squads. Remember: Troops before Toys.
I would go with either Warp Spiders or Pathfinders. I love the flexibility of the Spiders while I also love the staying power of the Pathfinders and their ability to pump out AP 1 shots.

3. Dark Reapers
-They are the best MEQ killers in the game. With an Exarch who fires 2x Missiles and hits on 2+, they have 3+ saves and can rain death on anything.
-Use these guys in CoD and you have the bane of the board. Intense cover saves, AP1 shots and pinning. What's not to love?
1. Prince Yriel
-So juicy. He can take on almost anything in close combat. I once took out 4x assaulting SM Bikers with the "funny eye". Throw him in a Serpent with 10x Storm Gaurdians and a Warlock with Enhance, then watch the enemies drop.
For vehicles I'd have to say Fire Prisms. I just love the 'superior' combined shot, & how difficult they are to destroy.
For troops, Id say Pathfinders, as long as you keep them out of combat. Then Dire Avengers with 35 Guided shots against a Doomed target.
