Today, in a mega battle, the Eldar Harlequins, a small unit with a Death Jester, a Troupe Master and two harle kisses minced my tac squad, sailing over the terrain that was in the way, every unit they charged died horribly in an orgy of blood and gore.
Even just that small unit did a dance of death to great effect. Its as fustrating as fighting DE Wyches in CC, makes me want to break the other players neck as they are ludicrously powerful with their blades.

Harlies are BIG in HtH, but will die to any kind of fire. And when I say any I mean ANY, even lasgun fire!
Shadowseers make this a bit more difficult at long ranges, but you want to hit harlies with massed fire, not pot-shot heavy weapons.
So next time just move up a couple of tac squads, keep them on opposite sides of the enemy, so that at the worst he will charge only one, and SHOOT THE HELL OUT OF HIM! =)
- Just love that maki! -
People tend to spam heavy and special weapons because it is so good against marines. This isn't going to work against harlequins as you need to rapid-fire them.
And for gods sake just move away from them or closer as needs be!

See, there are plenty of ways to take them out. Some more sever, a bit illegal, but effective. Most of these I've either seen done or have done myself.
Harlequins are only devistating if you let them be. If you make a conscience effort to kill them, they will die.
I believe, as stated in another thread, that guess weapons still have to roll to see them before they can shoot. More so to remember that they are actually there to shoot at, because the veil of tears removes them from your mind.Guess weapons people!!! Motars rob them of they're lives!!!!
Working on Eldar and Daemonhunters... for a change.
A winged* hive tyrant is what you mean, with devourers. Walking tyrants and carnifexes are just asking to be charged by terrain ignoring harlequins and all it takes are four or five rends. A winged hive tyrant with TL-devs has a good chance of getting inside the range of the Veil. However, even if all 12 shots hit and wound, you'll be looking at, around, only 8 casualties which means that counter-charging is bad, and losing a hive tyrant will hurt a tyranid player more than an eldar player losing a squad of harlequins.
