    Shooting out of Transports

why are the tau always pressurizing their transports? why doesn't one of the team leaders and take the initiative and open up that hatch!? are tau afraid of heights? i think that must be it...

The Tau breathe air and there is no air in space, hence the air must be sealed in.

yeah, plus the change in pressure from high altitude to low altitude, plus lack of oxygen at high altitude. That's why we pressurise our modern airplanes. So we don't die.

I think he means once we land and we're cruising around at a comfortably low altitude that is the table top. After all, the DF is a skimmer and not a plane, and other armies can shoot out of their transports so i guess it does seem a bit unfair.

Maybe opening the door allows return fire and deadly richochets. The tau generally don't use weapons and tactics that tend to hurt their individual troopers (hence the low powered plasma rifle).
