I know this has already been talked about but i couldn't find the posts, so im posting in the hopes that i can get an answer to show my friends
You can't use a line of Stealsuits to block line of sight of those behind them like the following
So can i shoot at the enemy behind a line of stealthsuits, pretty much like i just can't tell the suits anrn't there ?
"you don't need a parachute to go sky diving.........
........you only need one to go twice "
Also friendly models never block LOS anyway, only tanks, monstrous creatures and models engaged in assaults
Tau Codex, pg 27 - Stealth Field Generator:
"The firing unit may, however, choose to ignore models equipped with stealth field generators and fire on a more distant target, and in this case will not be required to take a Target Priority test if this target is the next closest."
Also, 4th edition differs from 3rd edition in that there is no more Infantry screening. You can always fire through an enemy non-Vehicle unit to shoot at another enemy non-Vehicle unit, you just need to make a Target Priority test. This is all detailed on page 19 of the BGB. The only exception to this is that you still can not fire through an assault.
this question is anwsered by reading the rulebook.
units that are not in combat do not block LoS. there are some exceptions like non-skimmer vehicles/walkers/monsterous creatures
