Just a thread out of pure interest.
To me, the XV25 is the most beautiful model in the Tau army (excluding tanks) and one that has quite some nice field roles.
Great versus swarm armies, nice addition to markerlight options and if you learn how to use the stealth fields well they can be a fantastic nuisance with proper firepower.
How do YOU use them and what are your best experiences with them?
Perhaps I can acquire some new tactics from your responses.

I realy use them as support. i fight a lot of infiltrating things, So I use the Stealths and Kroot to take up infiltration slots.
JSJ has Its uses.
Also, that much fire makes even Sm Sit back and take notice without too much support.
I'm reliably informed that they make better kills against necrons. by a guy I know who plays against them often.
I make a point of never laughing at stupid people. They can't help that they're stupid, just as I can't help hitting them.- Aun'Vre
I don't like the XV25s...have a pack of them that's still unassembled - prefer to use my old XV15s....
One team of 6 has just the right cost to effectiveness ratio.
I usually use mine as hunter killers, I usually infiltrate down a flank and then hug cover, they are used to nibble at infantry units or exposed units or used to take down entrenched units like devastators etc, the volume of fire especially with ML help usualy results in enough damage to affect the targeted units efficiency.
One thing I have found though is its rare for Stealths to inflict enough damage on their own so I tend to use them in tandem with other units, they are a great finishing unit.
I never rely on the stealth field, in fact I play them as if they have not got one, this prevents me from getting to over confident of their survivability, don't get me wrong I never forget to make the opponent roll spotting but I see it as a bonus and not a failsafe way to keep them alive.
I try to co-ordinate the stealths use with my Shas'Ui's because my Shas'Ui's usually pop transports so the stealths can then take down the passengers if they disembark, but the stealths are flexible basically I use them as a harassment unit, flanking and supporting other Tau units and they seem to do realy well.
Another use I sometimes have for them is to keep them in cover at range (to maximise the spotting distance benefits) for most of the game and then take objectives with them , their movement and survivability make them great objective takers and I have won games by doing this, I learned this trick from Onlainari and I was not keen on this hide away tactic at first but it certainly does have its uses.

I must admit though I prefer to use them more aggressively though thats just my play style but it is certainly another string to an already useful bow.
Yeah, GW got it right with the stealth suits (both versions). 6 of 'em with no upgrades is one of the best units per point/cost ratio. I love them a lot. I've been toying with the idea of a friendly game with maximum amounts of stealth suits, like 18.

i personally never use them anywhere but a flank. i find by keeping then on an edge that will maximize the range that most of my opponents units will be at ( the long board edge is 2 feet longer than the short edge, and most weapons range tops out at 4 feet)
2 full teams of 6 stealths
1 Stealth ML team
8 FW Mounted in warfish
10 kroot 8 hounds
2 fusion piranhas
currently I have 3 1500pt lists designed, and i roll d3 to determine which to play before the battle. haven't rolled 3 yet, so haven't played this list hehe.

the new steath suits do look really cool. and their steath fields work in real life too! in a game i played many moons ago, i infiltrated my steath squad into the target building for a take and hold mission. my opponent then continued to not see them the entire game though they were in plain sight. and they were the only scoring unit in the target area. so i won! oh yeah!
