Well this weekend im gonna play my friend with his darkangels for the first time
and i know he loves bikes..
So im trying to perpair my self a lil here
If anyone can help me out a lil that would be great
its gonna be a 500 or 1000 or maybe both battle
First thing that comes to mind is Scarab Swarms. Speedy enough to keep up with those bikes, a pain in the arse to kill off in CC and can be given D-Fields if you reckon there's an excess of vehicles on the field.
And over there we have the labyrinth guards.

Destroyers all the way. They cost just slightly more than a regular bike. You have the same speed/toughness/armour as his bikes.
Where they really shine is the weapon loadout. You have a longer range with your gauss cannon than he does with his weapon options. Since you can move/shoot you should be able to stay out of his range most of the time.
The only weapon that he can match your range is with a heavy bolter. Even here you have an advantage. The HB is strenghX while your cannons are Strengh Y. Both have the same number of shots.
You have a distinct advantage against these.
Attack bikes can be a bit more of an issue. They have a better armour save and twin linking but you have a high strengh shot and WBB. Overall I'd say your on even footing with these.

Another thought is to use the flying circus. The deep strike is more manouverable than the bikes and if your smart in your placement it is fairly risk free using immortals. Bikes still only have n wound(s) and 20 strengh X shots should take down 2 bikes on average in a round of shooting.

All bikes have twin-linking on thier Bolters, however Attack bikes can also come with either a Heavy Bolter or Multi-melta.
Ravenwing are insanely fast with Scout and turboboost. Evasion won't last for long.
Scarabs really don't like Powerfists, which is what RW Sgts are often toting (though possibly not in this case)

something else is that necrons don't do so hot against termies, which I don't know if your friend uses them, but when I played my DA with the new dex before selling them, I would use the bikes to make that big scout move plus turbo to get my termies on your side of the board by turn 2, and land them accurately.
Shoot the bikes with everything within reason, if you have anything twice the T of normal marines, it would do good against the attack bike since although the bike offers a T bonus, this doesn't apply when figuring instant death. Also keep in mind that the attack bikes are thier own squad, they can't be attatched to the normal bike squad, so they can be targeted individually.

Termies for Dark Angel get a special turn 1 deepstrike.
That coupled with scouting bikers means that you have asscannons in your face on turn 1 potentially.
Don't panic about it though. You should have plenty of WBB options to deal with ass cannons.
Also, DA can only take terminators in pathetic weakling squad sizes of 5. Some heavy destroyers will really ruin their day. Just keep them behing cover and use that manouvrability to your advantage.

Er.. Why is instant death so important?
Instant death is only an issue for US - as it takes away our WBB.
Consider how many wounds a biker has. Instant death means nothing right? Unless he has a character on a bike.
