Welcome to Librarium Online!
It used to be my best mate but now its getting me down a bit
how come my war walkers have to make a difficult terrain test on 2D6 to move into cover and any old tracked or wheeled vehicle can just move 6", they both have to make dangerous terrain tests and fail on a 1
how come my eldar outside cover have I 5 and strike first against most marines but in cover have I 10 and strike simultaneously with marines / ork / little old ladies with frag granades
how come my farseer, who has spent his entire life training in the path
of the mystic arts has his mind war power blocked by a shrubbery
thats it rant over
3. Well simply because your farseer can't see your opponent might be a factor. If you can't see me good luck trying to fry my mind.
2. That is actually a real nuisance. However when you throw a grenade at someone their initiative doesn't matter. The real question is why can't they use frags to hit at the same time while your not in cover? It makes perfect sense to use them while your in it (didn't make sense for banshees but thats been fixed).
1. You've seen the star wars movies right? those chicken walkers tripped over all the time. Now try telling me a freaking tank is going to roll over because a log got in its way. It's like YOU can trip over a pebble. Your car can't. Also what has more momentum to smash through a tree? You running into it or Your car driving into it?
It all makes sense except for frag grenades.

If anyone wants any kind of help writing fluff for any kind of GW army just ask.
warwalkers move through terrain just like infantry. They don't have to take a dangerous terrain test unless they are moving through terrain classified as dangerous to infantry also. So if you're just moving through woods with your warwalkers you just roll 2d6, and don't take dangerous terrain. A tank however always takes dangerous terrain tests
thanks for the reply dude but in my BGB sat on my lap right here p61 Walkers have to make a dangerous terrain test and i cant see anything contrary, i really am tryng
3, well i can kinda see the pont about cover because it is the only power you need line of sight for
1, well back in star wars as i remember it they didnt have tanks there, maybe it had something to do with all the trees
2, maybe there is some option of not taking advantage of the cover if your a deffender and not allowing your enemies to use there frags ?
Not quite... Walkers move as normal Infantry when moving through difficult but NON-DANGEROUS terrain. So if the terrain isn't dangerous, then the walker doesn't ahve to take dangerous terrain tests. This is contray to a vehicle which may go full distance, but has to take Dangerous terrain tests whenever they go into cover. The bit in the BGB about dangerous terrain refers to what happens to walkers SHOULD they fail a dangerous terrain test, since they have no wounds.
On the other hand, if the terrain was classified as dangerous, then yes the warwalkers would have to take dangerous terrain tests, but then again so would everyone.
Dreams give us a vision of a world unlike any we have seen. They present us with a glimpse of a better life; a goal to aspire to, and in the face of insurmountable odds, they provide us with the power to overcome, to live on, and to succeed where we would have otherwise failed.
well if your all sure i dont have to take the test thats fine by me, thanks fo the help everyone
this week ill be mostly sitting my war walkers in woods:ninja:
nnnnooooo don't do that they are slow enough as it is trust me you try that and you'll definately 100% roll a double 1 the first time a stealer or melta toting smurf crosses into rapid fire range (12 to the shooting impaired)

Walkers walking through a forest can walk over fallen trees so it works just like infantry. But if the walker was walking on somthing like lava, it would take a dangerous terran test and explode because lava is considered "dangerous" terrain.
"Drop emergency bulkheads! Activate compression rams! Set internal bracing! Issue brace for impact alert! I repeat, brace for impact!"
That is not dead which may eternal lie,
for in strange aeons even death may die.
You can complain about cover, but what I see are just the little bad things about it. Look on the good side. Rangers(Pathfinders) in the 4+ coversave. Now that's something to be happy about, especially when that necron lord is just in range of you.
