Comments? Rants? Suggestions? Oh yeah... I made a model of it, I just didnt like the look of normal Tau armor so I stole a useless Space Marine from my friend and converted like HELL. I also added some bullet holes with my ballphrase :w . It looks pretty awesome, I'll get a picture up soon people.
MERRY FRIGGIN CHRISTMAS! < <
This would take up an Elite slot correct?

Umm.. I don't think the devilfish at no points cost is an acceptable thing.
3 inches is not a whole lot. 4 or 5 inches is more resonable. Or maybe that they can move only 3 inches but can charge 6 because they get into a blood rage. Is the plasma sword a power weapon? But I really like it. They sound really cool and would add the punch in close combat that they Tau need.
say they always count as being in difficult terrain... also, I would have to INSIST they only be used in a farsight enclave, as they dont match up with the tau traditional art of war.
also, waaaaaaaaay too cheap, at least 30-35 points a model. and for SURE no free devilfish.
It would make more sense for these to be like, demi'urg that tau equipped with thier gear. or some other mercenary or some other race in the tau empire. Or even better yet, using thier own technology, since its pretty obvious the tau wouldent even bother researching power weapon technology.
Haemonculus Coven Dark Eldar
1 make them elites thy are tau cc fighters!!
2. i h8 the idea my self to me that goes compleatly against the tau fluff but anyway
3.make the fish cost, otherwise the less move dont matter
4.i h8 the idea, make the krooot useless.
Ugh... too umm... un-tau-ey.
I figure that if the Tau were to have a CC unit, it'd be more graceful like Eldar Howling Banshees, not sword and sheild style death suits. Besides, why would the tau not equip such bulky suits with jetpacks? This all makes no fluff sense.
And to please the Kroot lovers (myself included ) I'd make them an advanced form of Kroot that the Tau have used synthetic protiens to make them stronger/tougher and gave them powerweapons...
hehe, a kroot in a battlesuit made specifically to better thier combat abilities...

To answer Artimis
1.I guess Elites would be best.
2.Scoo yoo Tau should be able to be good by themselves and not worry about some fat ass warboss coming to reap some tank and broadside metal
3. okay +20 points for a fishy
4.You have to pay for there save, and there only good when you either play night fight, OR, if you play with a forest. Frankly I think the Kroot ARE pretty useless.
On a few more notes, I've had it with CC, and I'm not painting 32 god damn skinny carniverous (spelling right?) aliens!! (Cuz 32 is a fairly good amount of troops). Not to mention you buy them for the same amount as Fire Warriors! Total crap! $30 no more for a squad of 16 krootz! There worse than Eldar in every way except a little bit in heavy support and alot in CC.
*My opinion now dont flame back at me*
