So Scorpion Exarch can get the biting blade, stated in the text, each hit increases the str of the attack by 1. does that mean the exarch can have a max wound of 1 per phase? or is it still the same amount of wounds but all at a higher str?
they didnt word this in the book very well. in the discription it actually says 'for resolving those attacks' which mean it counts as multiple wounds. anyone know?
"each hit scored by a model with a biting blade adds a furthur +1S for the purposes of resolving those ATTACKS"
note the plural forms on all the nouns.
All attacks that hit are at plus strength, which is determined by the number of hits you get.
For example, if you hit 3 times, you get +3s for those 3 hits, but if you only get 1 hit next round, you get only +1S for that one.
Remember that it also adds +1S base, without any hits.
Which actually means one will always strike at base Strength 5, since in order to...hit, you have to add +1 to the existing +1. So look at it as a S5 scorpion chainsword with benefits.

Mr_Wayne: "Some people believe that the World Eaters do not field any ranged weaponry. Those people often die at a distance."
There is even an example in the codex about this. It says that an exarch who hits 3 times will strike at str 7.
This is extremely clean cut.
