Welcome to Librarium Online!
I'm in the process of collecting parts and pieces for a new, conversion-heavy DE army. As I'm using quite a few Eldar models and I'm also one of those people who likes spikes (I grew up in the 80's punk scene and started 40k with Chaos) I'm in desperate need of more bits to spike-efy my models. Over the last 6 months I've managed to find and buy two small batches of bits on Ebay, but pickings have been pretty slim.
So, this leads me to ask the question: Does anyone know where I can purchase a fair sized batch (or a couple of smaller batches) of DE spikes?
I'm not sure how familiar you are with Chaos, but the spikes are a bit different. As a Chaos player, it's pretty obvious to me. Chaos spikes are straight and usually have some sort of spear head on them, while the DE spikes are rather curved and hooked, as well as being smaller and more plentiful.
Unfortunately for me, BWBits doesn't carry DE bits. I guess that's one of the consequences of wanting to play an 'unpopular' army.
In a controversy the instant we feel anger we have already ceased striving for the truth, and have begun striving for ourselves.
Find some other DE players?
i hate the spikes.
i try to remove them where possible, as i find it gives a much more pleasant on the eye finish, they also look faster cause they aren't as bulky. not to mention it no longer annoys me that these spikes on them don't do anything!
so you could probably have mine except well... gettting them to you...
Dear Game Developer,Caps-Lock, its like cruise-control for AWESOMENESS!
Rock is cheese, Paper is just fine
WWP and other Dark Eldar how to
once you get 1 or 2 warrior boxes you will have more spikes than you need, even raiders and ravagers come with big spikes, bikes too with spares.
I wouldn't worry about being short of spikes even if it is a conversion army, Tons come with them.
Your going to be buying alot of original models right?
If you're always worried about crushing the ants beneath you...you won't be able to walk.
The warrior set comes with a load of knives as well, if you cut the handle off they make great spikey bits - especially when stuck of forearms and shoulders (proper fighting blade like).
