To keep it short and sweet, what does it contain and is it worth £12?
Link: Eldar Falcon
From what I can see (havent got my own Falcon yet to compare so can only go by memory and pictures), there is the turret, back area and...not much else.
It looks reasonably cool, but I wouldn't say £12 cool. The falcon is such a nice looking kit it doesn't really need any pimping.
Having an army and not owning a rulebook is like owning a car with no steering wheel.Originally Posted by amishcellphone
Fair enough. What are the actual differences though, just the turret and back bit?
If so, I could buy two of these instead of turret sprues and make them into Fire Prisms (see my magnetizing thread, whose who havent already).
i picked the conversion kit up as a gamesday treat. There's the turret, the back piece, the new comm tower for the turret and some extensions to the underside "ribbing" on the sides. 5 resin pieces in all, and the molding on the resin is pretty hit and miss, i have to resurface a lot of the large flat pieces.
Is it worth it? for me it was a treat, i knew it was over expensive, but i like having each of my tanks looking a little different.
Have you got any pics, or could you take some? I really want to see the underside "ribbing" as you call it.
I'm very tempted to buy two for my Fire Prisms, to make them more distinguishable compared to Falcons (bad English). Depends on how much the normal turret sprues are I suppose.
And I've heard FW can be a right pain, although emailing/phoning them normally does the trick (again, from what I've heard)..
Franksi you are a legend, rep!
For the turret, do you need anything else or is that all you need? I notice there is no windscreen thing though, or pilot.
