    VPs and Zoanthropes Question

Do zoanthropes still get treated as a unit for VP purposes in missions with the Annihilation objective?

In other words, if I have 3 zoanthropes that cost 195 pts together (or 65 pts each) and 1 gets killed during the game, does my opponent get 65 pts for destroying one or 0 points for not taking the group below half strength.

    Thanks!

    Hey Chief!

I'd say that they are individually awarded- kill one, VP's for one, kill two out of three, VP's for the two etc.

Another example of this would be a Unit + Transport- two seperate units, but taking up the same FOC slot, and each awarding their own VP's for damage/death

Edit++: I'd think Lictors are the same, being a single (albiet restricted-ish) slot on the FOC chart, yet they are individual 'units' for that kinda VP purpose.

I see your point, but Zoanthropes say they are "...deployed as a single unit..." (Pg 44, Nid codex). It's my only sticking point in this argument.

Transports attached to squads are also deployed as a single unit. This is not actually a sticking point at all.

Frankly, this is a good thing.

You count points per model killed.

Found my answer. They do indeed get treated independently for VP purposes. It's on page 86 of the BGB under "Units With Distinct Elements". They even reference Lictors in there.

    Thanks for the replies.

BGB = Big Grey Book. The main 40k rulebook. Most page references to the main rule book are the same for the BGB and the little rule book that comes with the Battle for Macragge box set.
