If there is anyone who has made these trees who might be able to help me out I would appreciate it. I am trying to make them using 24 gage wire and the bristles from a natural straw corn broom. It looks like the wire should twist up into many turns with some straw in each, but when I spin the drill I end up with all the bristles in a big bunch inside one single turn of the wire, with the rest of the wire twisted up as it should be. I am wondering if the corn broom is too stiff, what are coconut broom bristles like?

Thanks
