Just on the slayers, when you were talking about placing the Thunderers/Quarrelers as a speed bump, why not pack 5-10 Giant Slayers behind said unit, or at least in a position where they are shielded from missile fire by said meat shield and where a successful charge on the ranged guys would leave you in a position to run 10(20) attacks from a 5(10)-dwarf strong line. Sure they may/may not survive the next round of combat, but sounds like a great way to send some units fleeing from casualties, causing mass panic along the lines. (flank charge, they flee through/near their other units down the line) Hey man,
