i am getting 24 necron warriors, 3 destroyers and monolith and nightbringer and 3 scarab swarm bases, and im trying to decide what colour scheme i should go for, can anyone make suggestions? im thinking of goin 4 the hotrod red type in the codex (last section bottom row).

by the wat raven great tutorial, im usin that technique on my other 40k armies.

Lovely job love it and easy to follow.

kind of a request but do you know how to paint the gun so it look rusted? like the one on the bottom right of the ancients in the codex. It’d be brilliant if you did a guide how.

Basically i’ve start to collect necrons

um im getting 2 battleforces 1 monolith and a lord

i already have a nightbringer that i have painted qite well – i could put some pics up if you want

these necrons look really cool raven

i was thinking looking in the necron codex

when you loook at the paint schemes

in metallics 2nd to last one
that paint job for weapon then maybe the same body or on the right page in ancient the 3rd to last – it looks quite easy as i dont want a hard paintjob for 56 necrons 14 scarab swarms a necron lord , 6 destroyers and one monolith!

um can anyone else tempt me with other paintjobs that are relitivly easy to paint?

In the Necron Codex where it shows a bunch of color schemes, on the bottom of the right page is a dark blue color scheme. I think that scheme with some blue rods would look great. I am working on that now. Will post pics when i get some done.

I heard tell that you can use those coloured platic drink stirrers. I saw someone’s army with beutiful blue rods and that is what they said they used. I’ll have to check it out. Good toot.

I have purple rods that I am using to redo my necrons. I like the technique you used to paint yt out on mineour necrons and the feeding tubes. I am going to try it out on mine.

Raven, VERY nice tutorial mate! I’m a painting noob and I was amazed at the effect the wash added to your model just after 1-2 coats of it! I’m a Space Marine collector but some of your tips can easily be used on any model.
