Vampire Counts have new releases and updated rules on new Cairn Wraith and Tomb Banshee. I was having the impression that the updated rules were for the rare unit choice for the Vampire Counts. But upon reading the details in the official rules in White Dwarf, it is stated as a Hero choice in a Vampire Count Army. Then what about the rare choice? Does it mean I can have a Cairn Wraith and/or Tomb Banshee as Hero choices, and also have a rare unit of Cairn Wraith? If you compare the stats for the Cairn Wraith, they are about the same, except the hero choice on having the special skills of Chill Grasp, for the cost of extra 10 more points. Any comments anyone? Then, there is Hero Choice, this makes a stronger temptation for me to get these 2 new character hero.

So, I’ve built one table for War Pig, and after I finish up the bookshelves for my library, I’m going to build a second. I talked to Big D and gave him an ultimatum for a third table, “No more tables until you run a tournament.” Okay, not much of an ultimatum I suppose, but I think he needs some motivation. Now don’t get me wrong, Big D isn’t averse to the idea of a tournament. In fact, I’m pretty sure he has his own ideas brewing. However, I wanted to ask all of you for suggestions. What makes for a good local tournament? I think we’d likely max out at about 16 participants, though Big D may be able to correct me on that. Since this will be War Pig’s first 40k tournament, I thought it would be a good idea to see what people like in a local tournament. What has worked and what hasn’t

There is no army without fast moving light support vehicles. These units can reach every part of the battlefield in no time and support those that need help. General idea is to have a fast moving light vehicle armed with light or heavy weapons. As long as these units have good maneuverability weapons they carry is never big enough. Try to imagine BaneBlades cannon mounted on a vehicle fast as a Jetbike. When we talk about playing Warhammer 40k these maneuverable units are very important, as they can reach the enemy in no time, protect your flanks or even sneak behind the enemy lines and catch the enemy unprepared. Like all the other 40k armies, Necrons also have few fast attack choices. As entire Necron army is special in its own way, so are these units. They might not be the strongest when you compare them to the other army choices but they certainly make a good addition to your army. Necrons have three fast attack choices available: Wraiths, Destroyers and Scarab Swarms.
