GottaCon is Imminent
Hey guys! Man, what a week! School’s been picking up a little bit, Saturday was the Magic the Gathering Gatecrash release, and the rest…well…that’s for me to know! Anyways, its been a slower week on the painting front than I usually like, but that doesn’t mean we don’t have some pictures to share! Gatecrash! We had 54 players turn out for the event, I got to direct the mob to their tables every game! You can see your favorite commission artist working hard on the right! Man my hat stands out…
What if Games Workshop was to launch a Kickstarter? It’s an interesting thought. Now, a lot of miniature companies on Kickstarter could be accused of simply showing us what they have in the pipeline for the next year or two, then getting us to throw money at them so their business can secure the income they need to make it all happen without risk of profit loss. So why shouldn’t GW do the same? Imagine if the did a Kickstarter for your army? You might be a Tau, Eldar, or Ork player clinging on to your Codex, just waiting and praying for an update to make your army competitive again. Or you may just be desperate for some new models. Yes, GW launch their Xenos Kickstarter and all you need to do is pledge! They reveal illustrations for every single unit for all of the Xenos armies. All we need to do is pledge to unlock them. Flyers – fighters and bombers for everyone.
Puppets War continues to put out amazing models that fit perfectly into 40K. The Dragonfly aircraft is an awesome multi-part kit which includes 27 components.

I was searching for bitz of combat knives, ammo pouches and pistol holsters, when I came across Victoria Miniature . Victoria Miniatures had just these bitz I needed to upgrade my Dust Tactic German miniatures. I have always felt that Dust Tactics German Grenadiers soldiers were a bit naked, with just only a rifle and armour. Victoria miniatures is by Victoria Lamb , who is a female hobbyist with a GW Slayer Sword! Check out the some of the bitz and miniatures she carries on her store ! The ammo pouches came in nine pieces on a white metal sprue. There were a total of 1 large, 2 medium and 6 small pouches. The sculpts were ok with reasonable details. The only issue I had, was the pouches were sort of too close together. Clipping off the pouches from the sprue needed extra care. The small pouches posed a challenge as well. After clipping off, it took a bit of extra care to hold the pouch and file off the extra material from the cut off.
Pretty much finished the first of two Dreadnoughts for my Word Bearers HH era force.
