Nerd Fight! 40k v. Warmachine. Can’t we all just get along?

So it’s been a while. Sorry for my absence. My wife and I recently learned that we are expecting our first little ankle biter so things have been hectic. Even with the arrival of my future-spawn looming large, I wanted to talk about something I’ve seen generate a lot of nerd rage and flame wars lately. Namely, the animosity and rage I’ve seen between Warhammer 40k and Warmachine/Hordes. A bit of backstory. In recent years the miniature wargaming market, once completely dominated by Games Workshop, has seen some changes. Newer “upstart” companies have begun gaining a real foothold and for the first time there are actual competitors and viable alternatives to Games Workshop. Foremost among them is Privateer Press with Warmachine/Hordes
