Did the Land Raider Achilles foreshadow the new Hull Points system?

Did the Land Raider Achilles foreshadow the new Hull Points system?

This has been bothering me ever since 6th edition came out. No, actually.. even before that – when the first “concrete” rumors and leaks flooded the blogosphere. Before I added the side sponsons.. which were a PAIN to build. So.. was the Land Raider Achilles an early sign for the Hull Points system – perhaps one of the biggest changes brought to us by 6th Edition? I think so. But let me clarify the actual fact of the matter here: Here are the early “Experimental Rules” of the Land Raider Achilles , as posted on the Forge World website as soon as the Land Raider Achilles was announced. Notice, for example, the original point cost of 300 points (compared to the actual, current point cost of 325 points.) “..

Fimir – Lay Down Your Arms

Fimir – Lay Down Your Arms

I think I’m a reasonable fellow. Okay, I might be occasionally described as grumpy at times, and somewhat forthright in my opinions, but all in all I think I’m a pretty well-balanced guy. However. There are times when even I have to count to ten and pour myself a stiff drink. Last night was one such time. Picture a fellow, relaxing in front of the fire, painting the finishing touches to his latest model. It’s a wonderful moment, holding the brush, checking the model over and sighing contentedly: “Aaah, that’s done.” The model in question was my fimm standard bearer, and I had just the base left to paint, then the varnishing. If you are squeamish, you might want to stop now. I lay down my tray on the wee side-table beside the sofa I hide in when I’m painting in the living room.

News: Latest batch of 6th edition rumours

News: Latest batch of 6th edition rumours

Of bullshit rumours that should say 😛 . Because I do not believe in this rumours (reasons below) I’ve been lazy and just sharing the link: 6th edition rumours take 2 Why I think the rumours as bullshit then. Well firstly G.W has publically acknowledged it’s clamping down on rumours to build up releases, wouldn’t rumours for 6th edition be contradicting to what Games Workshop has said? Secondly it is speculated that 6th edition will be out next year, the reason for this is because a new rules edition is released every year. If 6th edition is out next year then why are fullscale informative rumours been released a whole year in advance yet something like the Sisters of Battle codex has only recently been fully announced in the rumour circles. Lastly the bullshit rules. 40k has used the same to hit chart for years, but the rumours say this is going to change, which I doubt. Also if you read about vehicles anything which isn’t AP1 will be -1 on the damage chart – there’s no + on the damage chart on -. This makes vehicles practically invincible and melta spam would become the stronger and only builds as missiles etc would not be required so much.

Vampire Count whfb tactica part 2

Vampire Count whfb tactica part 2

Vampire Count overview Part 2 Well worth the points = they are outstanding choices for the army Worth the points = they are worth the points they cost Fluff = they are mostly taken for theme list and are not as good as some other choices available Situational = Usually means they are good vs certain armies/unit types and may preform better than i have listed or worse depending on what they are up against. Fluff to worth the points = usually means they are decent but there is better options out there Special Grave Guard: well worth the points Above average stats and not too costly. They have t4 and armor save of 4+ and a 6+parry save making them quite durable, as well as s4 and killing blow, giving them a good damage output. They are also the best unit to IoN as you get the full effect of the spell and are more expensive than the other options that get d6 or more wounds restored
