Painting an interchangable Flamespyre/Frostheart Phoenix

Painting an interchangable Flamespyre/Frostheart Phoenix

One of the major dilemmas for High Elf players is whether to model and paint the new Phoenix as either the Flame or Frost version.

Space Hulk Flesh Tearers – The Last Three (for now)

Space Hulk Flesh Tearers – The Last Three (for now)

The last three of the ‘regular’ terminators, almost finished the marine half of the Space Hulk box (two markers and the librarian to go!) These guys were a lot of fun… Mr. Lightning Claws, he’s one angry chap. ..and from the back… A look at his shiny claws… This guy gets a lot of flak, Mr. Flamer. Odd that the guy with the flame-thrower is the most covered in parchment, and it is all on the front. The instrument of purification in question…

Malifaux at MOAB

Malifaux at MOAB

Talk about a busy couple of weeks getting ready for MOAB this year. I was playing in Tiny’s Malifaux tournament which was a 2 day event where we played 5 games over the 2 days. We had story driven encounters which you can read here . Only 6 people were playing but for the first year of it we’re hoping for more to be able to come next year and not playing other games… For the event I was planing on taking Sonnia Criid along with her Avatar so I had to get some Desperate Mercs, aSonnia, Alt Sonnia and some more Stalkers painted in a couple of weeks. I still haven’t had the chance to take photos of them all but if you look at some of the photos below (Curtisy of Tiny) you can make out some of them. We had a total pool of 55 Soulstones and were also playing 35 Soulstone games so we could mix and match as needed. aSonnia only manifested in one game of the five but I think the threat of her is what put the big target on her. As soon as I announced that one requirement had been completed she would take a tonne of fire from anyone around.

New Warmachine Warcasters Previews…

New Warmachine Warcasters Previews…

Images Property of Privateer Press It has been a little bit since we have covered andy new models coming out of the Privateer Press studios. This is not because we are not impressed but just time issues on outr part. With the new Warcasters that have been previewed I had to make some time to cover them. The first, and perhaos my favorite, is the Cryx Lord Exhumator Scavernous. This guy oozes a fearful presence that would scare any opponent from the battlefield. To say that this guy was from an island of nightmares would be an understatement. The model it self is a beautiful sculpt and the small details are what really send this thing over the edge. This hunk of, what I am guessing is,
