Hey guys! So just a quick post today! My girlfriend was in town this weekend, so I didn’t get a lot of painting done (though we did paint up a couple cultists, she’s a natural!). BUT! That doesn’t mean I haven’t been working my butt off on other projects! Lets jump in, shall we? First up is a Loremaster of Hoeth. The client had already assembled the piece, so it was just a matter of priming and painting! Lots of fun, I opted for metallics, rather than the NMM I’d done a lot of his pieces in. The orb probably could have benefitted from some OSL, but with time and financial constraints, I opted for a quicker effect on it. The other piece was a High Elf Battle Standard Bearer. Lots of fun on this piece, I've really grown to enjoy painting the sculpted banners GW has been doing lately.

So as you may have read in Tuesday’s battle reports, my Tau cadre did reasonably well against some less than ideal opposing armies. I didn’t get to play anyone who simply rushed headlong at me but rather had to be pretty manoeuvrable to take the fight to them. Here’s a quick reminder of my list before I go through the units individually and talk about their pros and cons (this will be wordy!): 1,850pts of Tau Empire Ethereal Commander (fusion blaster, plasma rifle, target lock, vectored retro-thrusters, iridium battlesuit) 12 Fire Warriors 12 Fire Warriors 12 Fire Warriors w/ Devilfish (disruption pod) 11 Kroot

It has been in the high 90’s (35+C) over the last week, which means it’s been just brutally hot up in the hobby loft. Had a bit a reprieve though and I took advantage to finish off the painting portion of the Eldar transports.
