FRACAS 2013 – Flames of War small army tournament
One of my favourite tournament events in the last couple of years has been FRACAS a 600-650pt single day FOW event.

Forge World has released the newest Space Marine super-heavy tank, the Glaive! From Forge World: Space Marine Legion Glaive The Legion Glaive Super-heavy Special Weapons Tank is a variant of the Fellblade. Armed with a Volkite Carronade, it is designed to destroy xenos beasts and incinerate enemy light vehicles at a single sweep. While the Glaive has been issued to all eighteen Legiones Astartes in limited quantities, the Salamanders and Dark Angels have long been noted to field Glaives as a matter of course; the XVIIIth Legion’s artifice is more than sufficient to maintain and replicate the arcane Volkite technology, while the provenance and honour of the Ist Legion means that their war matériel and weaponry are ancient indeed. The Legion Glaive, designed by Stuart Williamson, is a multi-part resin and plastic kit that is packed with detail. It is available to pre-order now for despatch from Friday 28th June and experimental rules to field this powerful super-heavy as part of a Space Marine Legion army are available to download now. The Glaive is an interesting variation of the Fellblade and has an awesome gun on it the Volkite Carronade, whose rules are here . Expect to see one of these in my Raven Guard army! Loken
One of the great joys of wargaming is the endless time you spend with pen and paper list building, at least it was until I discovered that I could spend even greater amounts of time using various electronic sources – although pen and paper still remain the starting point. There are a range of options available for gamers looking for help building their lists, particularly if they (like me) want to build lists from sourcebooks they dont yet own.
Got a few solid hours reading time in on Bridge by Bridge last night and there are some seriously strange lists in that book.
Logged on to see a plethora of posts from Kiwi WHFB bloggers about the upcoming deadline for early registration for NATCON the big 3 day tournament/convention 29th-31st March.
The Army Painter is a paint system for miniature wargamers to paint entire armies quickly and easily with fantastic results.
Forgeworld continues its releases of Space Marine “pre-Heresy” tanks with teh Deimos pattern Predator.
Hello, Apocalypse 40k readers, Son of Dorn, here. I’ve come to you today with an exciting proposal. We know that new FAQ’s for 6th edition are on their way to us, so why not lend Games Workshop a helping hand? I’d like to use the comments section of this article to collect questions that you have about 6th edition. These can be ANYTHING you’re confused about: clarifications, requests for more examples, codex questions, allies questions, anything that’s on your mind! I’ll be taking these questions and collating them into a massive document that I’m exerting every effort to get to important folks at Games Workshop. So all you have to do is ask away. I’ll be the insane person that does the grunt work of organizing it all, and you can know that the community’s burning questions have been presented to those that matter. Having said this, the purpose here is not for complaining or whining, or even arguing rules with those who do post questions. I'll be organizing them and throwing out ones that are obvious, and making notes of things that are brought up frequently (even if obvious) as it indicates on a larger scale that it's not presented clearly enough
Probably just a month before the release of the new Codex: Chaos Space Marines, I've decided to sit down, reflect on some of the rumors and jot down a few ideas in order to inspire myself (and perhaps even you!) with the exciting, yet challenging adventure that is starting an army from the ground!
