One of the major dilemmas for High Elf players is whether to model and paint the new Phoenix as either the Flame or Frost version.
After Thursday nights game I decided to submit the list I used that night for next weekends WHFB tournament Horned Gobbo.
In the second part of my series of unit reviews I’m continuing to look at the HQ section. This post will cover the Phoenix Lords. As in the old codex the Phoenix Lords share a common statline which hasn't changed since the previous book. It's a pretty solid statline too with WS/BS 7, 4 attacks, 3 wounds a 2+ save.
The deadline for submitting lists for my next WHFB Tournament Horned Rat is the 14th June.
Up against Jeff Kents Lizards tomorrow (I think – or it could be his Full Monty Dark Elves) with my new High Elves.

Theres a few more tournaments coming up this year that I plan on attending the next is Panzershrek XI a Mid-War FOW doubles event on the 7th/8th July, and (if its run this year) FRACAS a 1-day 600pt Mid-War FOW event in mid-August.
Have 3 projects on the go at the moment as the painting bug has kicked in again. It ran out of steam a little while back when I put my High Elf chariots aside unfinished.
