An odd thing happened at Horned Gobbo this weekend not once during the entire weekend did I engage in the usual tournament ritual of re-writing my army list after every game and at the end of the each tournament day.

Did some tidying last night after getting home from the club and pulled out my box of unpainted models, most of them anyway, and got a shock when I saw just how many there were.
Have 3 projects on the go at the moment as the painting bug has kicked in again. It ran out of steam a little while back when I put my High Elf chariots aside unfinished.

Just had a game with y Hobby list vs High Elves at 2500pts. His list: Prince, with lance, dragon armour, 4+ ward and a Stardragon Dragon Mage with a 5+ ward… and flame of rhuin… BSB with armour and ward. 50 Spearmen (Full command and warbanner) 10 Archers 14 Lions FC 20 Phoenix Guard FC Bolt thrower. Anyway I was going to take pictures… but that video blurb is the only thing that I took. You can see the Dragon (no longer with a prince) taking on my tomb scorpion as my hierophant cowars behind it. I walked away with a minor win! The game lasted 4 turns…
This is a second part of the battle report between Lizardmen and High Elf armies . In the previous article I explained some of the key features of both armies and the battlefield. Last time I stopped at the end of the Lizardmens second turn. Turn 3: High Elf In his first turn, Lizardmen player casted Comet of Casandora between unit of archer, spearmen and one bolter. Finally Lizardmen player managed to roll 4+ and comet killed a whole unit of Archers, 9 spearmen and one bolt thrower. This is the first serious damage dealt by any player this game. What was left of the High Elves decided to charge. Archers charged Skink skirmishers, and after skinks decided to flee, charge was redirected into saurus unit, but it failed. Both White Lions and Spearmen charged another unit of Skink skirmishers, both in front and flank.
Big week for working out army lists with 3 tournaments coming up over the next couple of months and (hopefully) a host of friendly WHFB games as practice – including one tomorrow night.
