Well i wouldnt expect anything less from you Spec, this list looks pretty perfect.

The only think id say is have the second Damsel in with the other KotR, and run the GKs as a single line of 5. Mainly because i can see the GKs being better in that formation than in a small lance. However i know our views oppose here so i wont be offendeed if you dont agree lol.

 

As for running the Grail Knights in a 3x2 formation with a Damsel over a 5x1 without, both have their merits.

My personal reason for running the former is as follows:

-I find that the Grail Knights are going to attract some magic missles, so the MR 1 from the Damsel helps.

-The number of attacks on the charge is the same regardless of the formation. In fact, I'll actually generate 1 extra CR due to having a rank. Your unit however will generate more attacks in a protracted combat, and if I were up against undead, I might think about adding the damsel to the KotR unit with the BSB and running the Grails in a 5x1 formation.

Yea i definitely agree here, and this is probably the one greatest flaw in the way i would use Grails. I guess it larger points games, when a large 9-12 GK lance would be affordable, then a damsel would be a must.
Also you have a point about the +1Cres, but if you loose one guy from the unit, you loose the rank and also that guys attacks, as well as the back ranks other attacks in later combat rounds. Guess im just overly cautious.

Hmm... is the Damsel position Lance specific? i.e is there anything stopping you from having a front rank of 5-6GKs, with a damsel being the only model central in the 'second rank'?
