    Gun Help

I often hear people complain that GW guns are unworkable, but I don't know much (anything) about guns myself, so I thought I'd ask.

I've converted this Necromunda Goliath ganger, using an autogun from an old 2nd edition Gretchin.

I had to snip the ammo clip off to make room for his hand, but now I don't know where to reattach it. The likely options are 1) Underneath the gun but in front of his hand, so further forward than it was originally. Not convinced that would work in real life though, since it looks like it would be under the barrel rather than a 'worky bit' (I did say I didn't know anything...) 2) On the top of the gun somewhere, probably near the back. Would that look more realistic?

Thanks to anyone who can help.

I'd go for option 2 mate. it would look more realistic and far more underhive I think. plus it would look like the weapon had been properly cobbled together! Great kitbash by the way!

You could also shave down the side, and have it feed from the side opposite his chest. Rather than top/bottom. I'd put it up top though, just to cover that flat spot. Unless you wanted to get to the sculpting or something...

Thanks. I was quite pleased that I managed to get the left arm in a vaguely sensible position - that always seems to be the tricky bit - but it's just a Marauder with gun and Space Wolf head.

Good point, that's another option, but there's already some detail there, whereas the top is conspicuously bare so I think I'll follow your advice - I just wanted to know whether it looked realistically workable, as well as aesthetically better.
