Thanks for the advice. I stepped back and read a lot of battle reports about Mech IG and had some thoughts of serious revisions. I've made two new lists that are Mech rather than Hybrid and made a third list which is a Vet/Hybrid. My only hangup in both Mech lists is what to do with the CCS. Their special weapons cost the same as the Vets, yet their BS is lower. It feels like a waste to give them a Melta/Plasma when the points could be better spent on the Vet squads. To that end I've set the CCS up with a Flamers (cheap and no BS needed) to follow the Chimeltas around and cook anything that falls out of destroyed transports and to provide horde killing death to anything that tries to swamp said Chimeltas in CC.

List #1: Mech: Scoring Troops. Grenade and Plasma Vets hang back and hold objectives/offer fire support. Chimeltas and Demolisher run amok killing armor and high save troops while CCS mobs up horde/dismounted mech infantry. Sentinels provide extra light armor/high T killing versatility.

List #2: Mech: Offensive Armour Get in their face and kill everyone. Chimeltas/Plas Vets/Demolisher run amok killing armor and high save troops while CCS mobs up horde/dismounted mech infantry. Sentinels provide extra light armor/high T killing versatility. Hellhound provides some serious antitroop abilities as well as a fourth antiarmor threat.

List #3: Hybrid Vets. Sentry vets use Scout move to get into ideal cover/shooting positions and offer fire support to frontline mech units as well as being useful in camping objectives near starting table edge (hopefully camo cloaks will make them more difficult for the enemy to shoot at them at long range). CCS will hang back near Sentry vets and spam orders while the Armored Sentinel runs interference on any approaching/flanking troops. As always Chimeltas/Demolisher take the fight to the enemy killing armor and looking to grab far objectives or rack up kill points

CCS- x4 Gernades
