An idea I thought I'd try out. Lots of bugs to work out, because I'm used to playing chaos. I'm going mostly for fun/friendly games with this list.

I'm also interested in ideas on how to reduce this to 1,500 points.

like you said it is a crazy list. without basically demolishing the whole flavor of your list i cant really suggest anythin to limit it back down to 1500 points. is there a reason you were going 1500 or 1750, cuz i would suggest possibly going up to 2K with that list.

True, but for those same 205 points he can go with
9 Sisters, heavy flamer, flamer, Vet Superior, book, rhino, armour, smoke

that. Simple change, or just drop the priest or pentient engine (speaking of which...wow)

Aside from the mass of pentients, seems pretty well balanced, I wish you much luck in the name of the Emporer

I think the list is alright and looks fun, but its true that your regular SoB squad sizes are illegal

One way you could spend the 7 points would be to equip the Canoness, Priest, and IG officers with bolt pistols/bolters. Its cheap, plus they're a whole lot better than laspistols.

Heres a possible way to make it 1500pts.
-Drop one penitent engine squadron
-Swap the celestian retinue for a jump pack
-Make your normal SoB squad sizes 10
total 1503 - If you don't like going 3 points over the limit, then drop a plasma gun and give your Canoness, Priest and IG officers bolt pistols for the first two, and bolters for the officers
