[1500] Biel-Tan Eldar vs. Daemonhunters

Alright, here it is my first ever posted batrep on LO since I’ve started here. I’m sorry if it’s lengthy (it is to me :yes:) but it should be mostly detailed, all 6 turns are here. Also, I’ll be posting this including 3 turns through and the second post will contain the last turns so that I won’t be pressed for space. I’m also not giving away sides of who I am because both LISTS are mine but I didn’t play both, so I’m looking for constructive criticism on how to play, thanks.

Turn 1:
DH: LRC moves up right behind forest its full 12” and pops smoke. Lone Inquisitor moves up 6”, Immolator moves up 12” behind second forest and pops smoke.

Eldar: Farseer casts fortune power, Falcon moves 12” to try and get a shot at the Inquisitor, Wave Serpeant does the same but moves 8”, Farseer + bodyguard, Avatar, and WL all move up 6” toward the hidden from view LRC. (shooting) Falcon gets two pulse laser shots, hitting one, wounding the Inquisitor and sending him to instant peril.

Turn 2:
DH: Callidus Assassin arrives, Bro-Captain and Retinue arrive. Callidus comes in 1” away from reapers. BC and Ret. Come in via teleport homer from the back walking (small) GK squad. LRC moves around the forest 6” and deploys its “goodies”, Immolator moves up 6” towards Falcon and deploys the Celestians. Walking Grey Knights move 3” out of crater. (shooting) Celestian shots at Falcon manage to glance twice but one spirit stones shrugged off the 1 and the pulse laser is destroyed. Terminators shoot through crack between off-board and forest at the Wraithlord but fail to do anything. Grandmaster and his attached Grey Knights shoot bolters at the Avatar dealing 1 wound. The incinerator aims at the Avatar and is able to snag the Farseer and 4x warlocks as well. Dealing 1 wound to the avatar and killing 4x warlocks because of the AP-4 and no invul. saves. LRC shoots at Wraithlord, one rending and the multi-melta combined deal two wounds to the Wraithlord. Callidus fails to kill any of the Reapers with the neural shredder. (assault) Callidus kills only 1 Reaper and takes nothing in return. GM and squad charge Avatar, going simo the Avatar kills 2 regular GKs and the GM kills the Avatar with his force weapon, sweeping advance gives them a 2” so they are stuck in the open for a turn.

Eldar: Wave Serpeant moves 12” towards the Callidus and the dying Reapers, Falcon moves 7” deploys Fire Dragons outside of the LRC. Scorpions move toward Celestians. (shooting) Wave Serpeant shoots at the Immolator, glancing once, penning once, glancing 6 and pen 6 (I think it got destroyed? :yes:). Scorpions shoot at Celestians killing one. Fire dragons shoot at LRC, 2 pens and 1 glance, glancing 2, pen 1, pen 6 (destroyed? :yes:). Wraithlord soots GM + Squad hits, needs anything but with the bright lance…and gets the but. Farseer and Warlock pistols do nothing at the same target. Falcon shoots GM + Squad and kills 3 regular GKs. (assault) Celestians use “The Passion” to gain +2 Initiative, Scorp mandiblasters still go first and kill 2. Celestians fail to wound. From overconfidence only 4 scorp roll but they “woulda” killed 4 Celestians if they were more, and advance 6” into wreckage on the Immolator. Callidus kills 2 Reapers and takes nothing back. Farseer and Warlock deal 3 wounds but all 3 are saved. Grandmaster goes against wraithlord (higher initiative) and gets ONE six to deal the last wound. Only 3 GKs were able to attack the Warlock and Farseer, and due to terrible rolls, the Warlock dies and the Farseer takes two wounds.

Turn 3:
DH: GKTs and small squad move up 6” towards the close combat fighting. (shooting) GKTs kill 3 Fire Dragons from shooting. (combat) Assassin kills Reapers and from a 1” advance, stays in Bunker. Eldar player gets VERY lucky and saves 8/8 wounds.

Eldar: Banshees pop out of Wave Serpeant and move to 1” away from Callidus. Wave Serpeant is finally able to see the walking GKs after moving 12” across the board. Falcon moves into deep corner spot (12”), Dragons move onto LRC wreckage, Scorpions get 2x 1’s for difficult and stay on top of Immolator. (shooting) Wave Serpeant only kills 1 GK, Falcon guns down 3x Termies. Callidus takes one wound from Banshee pistols. (assault) Banshee Exarch hogs the kill and slays the Callidus hitting and wound 2/3 attacks, and the Callidus fails both invuls. Again, Farseer deals no wound himself but saves 7/7 saves this time (This Farseer is now starting to show off :yes:)...............................

Turn 4:
DH: Walking GKs move 3” to get into full range of remaining Dragons. GKTs move up 6”. (shooting) GKs gun down two Dragons annihilating the squad :angry: (well..sorta?) (assault) GKTs charge Farseer, GM and Farseer do nothing to each other but the charging GKTs are able to mop up the mess and bring down the Farseer. GKTs advance 4”, GM + Squad move 2”.

Eldar: Falcon moves 12” out of corner but still able to get a clear view of the GKTs and GM. Wave Serpeant moves 12” to get a more direct shot of the walking GKs, Banshees move towards center of the board 10” (6” + 4” FoF). Scorps get difficult 4” towards GKTs. (shooting) Wave Serpeant kills 1 walking GK, Falcon shoots GKTs, starcannon gets THREE ONES!!!, crap dice they are called, shuri-cannon kills a GKT, awesome dice they are called :). Scorps rapid-fire their pistols as they are 8” away, hitting 9/18 and wounding 8/9, killing 4 GKs.

Turn 5:
DH: Walking GKs move 6” back, GKTs, GM + Justicar move 6” towards Scorpions. (shooting) Walking GKs fire psycannon at Wave Serpeant, glancing…1, and its shrugged off with the spirit stones. GKTs and GM squad do nothing shooting-wise to Scorps. (assault) Scorp mandiblasters do nothing, GM goes simo with scorps (I-5) killing 5, scorps (so far) do nothing as all 4 wounds are saved easily. GKTs and Justicar kill 4 more Scorps, Scorp Exarch with scorpion claw kills one GKT.

Eldar: Falcon and Wave Serpeant get into firing lanes for the walking GKs, Banshees move and FoF a total of 7” towards the close combat. Wave Serpeant shoots at walking GK squad and kills 3, Falcon shoots the same target and kills the last GK. (combat) Scorps = nothing, GM takes down the rest of the scorpions with ease (3 left), and get a 6” sweeping advance towards the Banshees.
Turn 6:
DH: GKTs, GM and Justicar move to 1” away from Banshees. (shooting) GM and Justicar shoot killing one Banshee. Being bold, GKTs decide to fire their one psycnnon at the Falcon, only 1 hits, and IT GLANCES, there’s still a chance…glancing 3, and the spirit stones fail to shrug it off! Falcon is near useless for the Eldar’s last turn. (combat) GM and Justicar charge Banshees but still go last (banshee masks). Exarch does nothing, regular Banshees kill the Justicar and put two wounds on the GM. GM retaliates by killing 5 Banshees. GKTs charge the Falcon, glancing twice GETTING A 6!! And then a 4 from holo-field….:(…. So the starcannon is now destroyed.

Eldar: Falcon cannot move or shoot and only drifts 2” to the right. Wave Serpeant is unable to shoot anything after moving 12” (no clear view of GKTs). (assault) Exarch goes first, again, does nothing. GM kills 4 wiping out the Banshee squad, BUT, the Banshees (regular) were going simo, and they manage to deal one wound and it’s unsaved and they take down the GM. GAME OVER

Eldar points left: Falcon (105), no weapons, Wave Serpeant (135), full.
DH points left: 2x Termies (one psycannon) and Bro-Captain ( 178 )

The incinerator aims at the Avatar and is able to snag the Farseer and 4x warlocks as well. Dealing 1 wound to the avatar and killing 4x warlocks because of the AP-4 and no invul. saves
Farseers and Warlocks have rune armour which gives them a Inv. save I thought. I might be wrong but im pretty sure they have inv. saves.

Other then that good battle rep. Sry no advice but im short on time - I got to go to my Basketball game soon.
good battle report but next time post the respective army list so that we actully know what is being fielded from the getgo, and also the pycannon does go through the invunerable save.

Both the incinerator and psycannon ignore inv. saves.

I'm assuming that 5-man squad of Knights is Troops and the 8-man one's Fast Attack?
good report sounded like a fun game and is it easy doing battle reports??????? because i might do one some time..................

oh and i'm a thinking that u were the ELDAR player
Scorps get difficult 4” towards ,Scorps rapid-fire their pistols as they are 8” away, hitting 9/18 and wounding 8/9, killing 4 GKs.
illegal as pistols may only rapid fire if the unit firing them remained stationary.

thats a very bad list also if that 8 man gk is fast attack it is illegal cus you have to have two troops also drop the celestians and fill out the inquisiter and rest of squads, i'm quite surprised he did as well as he did.

also gk t are an elites as are the =][= and callidus but so are the celestians so atm you have 4 another 40k infringment
Alright sorry I couldn't post back sooner

Plague - there's also suppose to be an LRC in that list....and the Celestians were suppose to be written "Dominions." My bad on that one, guess I mix them up sometimes when typing "under so much pressure" 8)
