Hey guys. Picked up some Eldar the other day and threw a list together. Here goes nothing. I normally play Guard so this is a little new to me.

Well the plan is simple. Prisms crack open tough targets, Farseers roll with the Avengers and guide them. They'll each doom separate targets, one of which will be charged by banshees as well as being softened by Avenger shooting, the other will just be shot by Avengers, possibly hit with a Prism blast as well.

Advice on the list would be awesome. Tips for playstyle would be even better since I'm relatively new to Eldar. The room for error between Mech Eldar and Mech Guard is slightly different I hear =D

This is a very standard Mech list except for the double expensive Seers and the double Banshees.

You need Dragons more than a 2nd Banshee unit, Blances are awful against AV14 in a real game.

A bit light on Troops, a 3rd unit would be good. Most people run Rangers, if you wanted to max out your competitiveness I''d make room for a SGuardian Flamer unit. Could easily afford it by dropping a few Banshees and making the Seers cheaper.

Grab EMLs on your Serpents, Blances just don't do enough. If you need armor killing for heavies get Dragons, Commanders with Pistols or Singing Spears for rear/side armor.
Hmmm my ability to read must have ran away. Maybe I scrolled to fast.

Personally I hate Prisms, they're way to easy to shake/stun and without Holo-Fields just kill outright. You can add Wraithlords or run Falcons and put Banshees/Dragons in them but Falcons are ho hum.

Eldar don't need Heavies to be competitive imo, you can just run Troops, Dragons and Seers with great transports and beat tons of armies.
Well I just look at what the Heavies do and it's simple.

Reapers: Kill MEQs. DA's, Guardians, Banshees, Scorps and Avatar can all do this.

Prisms: Kills vehicles if linked and any infantry, usually if linked. Dragons kill armor better and EMLs do fine against weak armor. Eldar is rich with infantry killers so, not a problem.

Wraithlords: Shoots the same as a Serpent and is a speedbump. Avatars, Banshees and Scorps can CC better, they just can't hold things up forever but Eldar doesn't NEED that.

Support Batteries: Not good at anything they do on their own.

Falcons: A more expensive Serpent that's easier to kill and holds less, all for a relatively bad gun, Serpents outperform.

That's why I don't see Heavies as a must run.

How are you full on Troops? You have two. Drop down to 6 Banshees and remove the Exarch from both Dragon units. Either keep 2 Dragons (my choice) or 1 Dragon 1 Banshee. Put the other points into a 3rd DA unit or better yet 2 Storm Guardian units with 2x Flamer and Spear Warlock with Destructor, mounted as you have your units, and 1 DA unit.

That'd be a very original list I feel. Try to squeeze in Warding on 1 Doomseer.
