Looking for the usual C&C - I'm thinking this could be quite a good fun army to play as...

Minor Divergance
Advantage: BP & CCW
Disadvantage: Faithful Unto Death

Chapter Master
- Power Weapon
- Storm Shield

Reclusiarch
- Bolt Pistol

8 Marine Command Squad
- Company Champion
- Drop Pod

I'm sure it's easy to guess what these guys are hoping to do, land somewhere they can do a lot of damage and hopefully proceed to do a lot of damage

Venerable Dreadnought
- Drop Pod

Land it on or around an objective and make it a mobile firebase

5 Terminators
- 2 Assault Cannons
- Drop Pod

Drop in with the dreadnought for a (now) quite formiddable firebase.

10 Marines
- Sgt with Terminator Honours & Power Weapon
- Melta Gun
- Drop Pod

MEQ/Armour Popping and move into combat

10 Marines
- Sgt with Terminator Honours & Power Weapon
- Melta Gun
- Drop Pod

MEQ/Armour Popping and move into combat

10 Marines
- Sgt with Terminator Honours & Power Weapon
- Melta Gun
- Drop Pod

MEQ/Armour Popping and move into combat

Land Speeder
- Multi Melta
- Heavy Flamer

[Deepstrike in and go armour-popping or MEQ popping and generally be a nuisance. If there's no deepstrike allowed, then It'll go on a distract-a-thon]

Chapter Master- Meh, I prefer the Iron Halo so you could take a BP for the extra attack, but if you want a Storm Shield, take it.

Terminators- You could save points by just having them Deep Strike. I don't think they can take a Drop Pod.

Take Powerfists on the Tactical Marine Sergeants.

Other than that, a decent list with loads of CC damage potential.

Hi

Well I'm pretty good at helping people with there drop pod lists now and quite a lot of experiance so hopefully I can help you out a bit two. Your list is good but a few comments: (BTYW is this 1750?)

Chapter Master
- Power Weapon
- Storm Shield

Reclusiarch
- Bolt Pistol

8 Marine Command Squad
- Company Champion
- Drop Pod

This is a good squad in all but will be prone to getting shot on the turn they deepstrike so be carful. I'd try and give the commander and chaplain Termie hounours for 6 attacks on the charge. I'd also lose the strom shield for a Csheild as you lose +1 attack with the Sheild

Venerable Dreadnought
- Drop Pod

I'd drop the venreblenes of this guy as he's in a drop pod so won't be getting shot at that much, consider extra amrour as a cheaper way of keeping him moving

5 Terminators

O.K I see WHY you have the drop pod, but I really would go without it, as they can deep strike anyway,

I really like these squads, there excellent at what they do and are the best config for a drop pod, what I would do though is drop 2 men from each squad, and give the serg a power fist to detter walkers and IC's this will also save a lot of points (75)

Land Speeder
- Multi Melta
- Heavy Flamer

I'd drop this entirley, with all the saved points get a 6 man squad with 3 multi meltas and a drop pod for some extra AT which you desparatly need any extra points should be spent on 2 extra men and an extra multi melta.

Ok

It hasn't changed much - basically. no venerable in favour of power fists on my squads...

I decided to keep the Land Speeder, basically because it has the mobility for roving anti tank and so will be able to find itself in range with its multi melta more often than not (maybe)

Also

I kept the drop pod on the termies for fluff reasons as well as it's a more secure landing than deepstriking (thinking of proximity to terrain etc)...

It hasn't changed drastically - but what do you think now?

Is it at all possible I could hear the rationale for dropping the land speeder :-D
