I'll go down the list.

Your lord looks good but one thing makes me cringe. <-Dual lightning Claws. I ask why i fellow Death Guardian why not use one of the best CC weopons WH40K has to offer...THE MANREAPER. So this and the demonic mutation bother me. Its an easy conversion...get typhus's manreaper and put in on a standard marine then nurgle him a little more than the usuals.

Your chosen look great, you may want to throw another PF in there but thats personal just play with it and see if they have enough punch.

Your possessed are awesome.

Your troops look good except they NEED and i must insist NEED infiltrate!!!! Hopefully by the end of this you get an idea of were to scramble the points to do so.

For you havocs you need infiltrate aswell. I'll suggest that you swap out those 4 meltas and put them in the squads and take 4 from your squads and make that your havoc squad. Reason being 4 meltas in a squad is somewhat over kill, and trust me with all those marine players out there youll be happy your getting 8 shots at termies that wound on 2's negating normal armour.

And to the dread. Well honestly id just drop him so save points for things said previously.

All in all though your list is pretty solid man :).

Cheers

Well, one reason I like my lord is because he's modelled from Typhus, and for aesthetic purposes only, I don't want him to look too much like Typhus. Also, I've fond he is very good at what he does. With his retinue, I don't want to wipe out a squad, since my usual opponents are eldar and necrons, so I don't want to be targeted very often. That, and the fact that 5 attacks base and 6 on the charge will generally get the job done.

As for the melta-guns in normal squads, what squads would you suggest? I was thinking the powerfist and plague sword/plasma pistol squads
yeah that really doesnt matter to much all up to you. personally i would do what you just said swap out the PF and the PS/Plasma pistol's.
Overall, I like it. But there are a few things I wouldnt do.

HQ. He is fine as is. The lightning claws/manreaper is up to you. Stick to your fluff on it, makes the game more fun.

Elites. Both good units, however, I wouldnt play both of them in only 1500 pts. Between the two of them, they are more than 1/3 of your list. If you are putting your lord with the terms, then its closer to 1/2. I would choose which i like more, and save the other for a 2k points list, or just swap them out when i feel frosty.

Troops. Infiltrate. Then, use the points saved from pulling an elite plus the 40 you still have to add in 2 more of them. Even if you dont use it to move closer (which you should), infiltrate allows you to set up after the enemy has finished placing his entire army. That is godlike in both positional and psycological warfare. Also, I would put the meltas in your line squads, and the plasmas in your havocs.

Heavys. Again, infiltrate on the havocs. Putting your plasma guns there can also be a good idea, but beware if you are good at rolling 1s like me. As for the dread, I agree that it doesnt seem to fit the theme of your army. But then again, it is your army.

Fast attack. Riiight, the fastest thing in a nurgle army is the smell.:x
