Ok this is my first list so any help/critisism would be greatly apriciated!

HQ- Chaos L.T. 116 pts

The main plan of this army would be to infiltrate most of my 'shooty' troops at their maximum firing range (or closer for the rapid fire squads) to widdle down the enemy squads numbers then use my close combat troops to wipe out the rest or hold of any units that try to assult my 'shooty' units, all while the defiler and basilisk blow away isolated and/or clumped enemy sqads

good but i would take lighting claws cuz those killed 2 10 man squad of grey termies (there were only 4 claws)

nonononononononno this is horrible (sry) but defiler works much better but if u only got it cuz its cheap i would say get rid of it for some oblits. they rock.

i like your army but i cant help thinking that u dont have enough oblits. for a iron warriors army.(i think its an iron army) right?

Well, there are a few problems with your list. Firstly, I don't think you should post the points costs for the upgrades on your defiler/basilisk. Secondly, each of your havoc squads have 5 special/heavy weapons, whereas they are only allowed 4 each. Finally, Daemonic Aura on a model with Terminator Armor is redundant.

The only recommendations I can think of making right now is the add a squad or two of Obliterators and give one or two of your terminators chainfists.

hey. i dont c that many things wrong with ur list. the only thing i can c that may help is to take d aura off L.t. cuz if he has terrminator armour on. its nuthing more than throwing away pts. another idea may b to take d.sterngth and pwr wepon off your L.T. and give him a dark blade instead its the same pts and has the same effects as the pwr wepon but adds +2 str to him. so for the same pts as pwr wep and d strength you get the same effect but with +1 str for L.T. i just have one question what size bored are u going to be playing on. i only ask because if ur playing on a 4x 4 table theres not any point in taking indirect fire on your bassilisk and defiler (min range of 36'). but if your going to be playing on a 4x6 or a 4x8 id defanately take it. well thats all i have to say. hope it helps.

As stated, your havocs have too many heavy/special slots. Only 4 my friend. Not 5. Autocannons in havoc squads are far more effective that h.bolters. 8 S8 shots when using tank hunter. Plus they're S7 against troops so its great there too (multi-shot and insta-killing against T3 models). Also, amazing against those pesky skimmers. Your troops squads do not need to be that large. All they need to do is shoot the plasma or assault. Reduce their sizes, you only need about 6-8 for the plasma and as small as 8 for the cc squads. That way you'll have some points to use elseware. For example, meltas are much better in assault squads (unless you always facing horde armies), they can poptanks and fry marines (they are statistically better agianst marines). I'm assuming you using IW, so I would suggest dropping the defiler for a vindicator. It's cheaper, tougher and much harder hitting. It's especially durable if you have the pts to give it mutated hull (makes the front armour 14!) I'd consider dropping one troop squad all together and getting some oblits, more fluffy for IW, and more effective. 3 squads is good for your core.

Lt: yep, lose the Aura. You could then make him a Lord, or give him Resilience. For 5pts why not give him Daemonic Visage.

The Chosen: if these guys are all Aspirings with MoCU, they’re 47 points each. So 4 would be 188pts, or 5 would be 235pts. Add some Claws, and an excellent Chainfist. Personally I think they’re too expensive as Aspirings.

I assume you’re intending to Deep Strike with the Lt+Retinue, whenever possible. So why not give Infiltrating Aspirings 1-2 Teleport Homers. The problem is, what do they do when Deep Strike is not allowed. With this in mind, 6 Terminators with 2 Reapers is a good idea.

CSM Plasma Gun squads: as you can’t Assault with Rapid Fire weapons, why not have 1x Lascannon and 1x Plasma Gun. You’ll do more damage, and there’s less ‘hot’ stuff going on. You can reduce these squads to 5-7 CSMs.

Assault CSM squads: fine, though Meltaguns are real nice (my preference for sure). I’d consider giving them Plasma Grenades. I can’t agree with many commanders who say, “I’m don’t intend to attack people in cover�. That’s a very naive attitude. What if enemy troops are in something that needs taking to achieve the mission, or they’re a heavy weapons groups blasting your boys to hell.

I’d lose the Basilisk completely.

Havocs: lose the Combi-Bolters, they’re too expensive for a 1 shot deal. As has been said, lose the Plasma Guns. For me, lose the Aspirings completely. They’re combat orientated, and Havocs aren’t. With MoCU, you don’t really need the Ld10. I agree with NumberoftheBeastxxx’s comments on Autocannons with Tank Busters and Infiltrate.

I like the number of CSM squads you have, and field plenty myself. Overall I like the basic idea of your list.
