What would be a good 2000 point, semi-cheap ( i have no money) army for a starter?

word. I'm just trying to collect tau models atm. It's ebay all the way.

Especially since models have all gone up in price since last time I played, and I could barely stomach the costs back then.

Ebay owns for warhammer. I got a crazy deal on some FW's, a hammerhead, and the battleforce.

Unfortunately, I cant find any Broadsides at the moment. I should've snatched them up when I saw them.

Ya, alright, im not broke, im just trying to find a cheap way to start an army. id like to at least have one, then ill start adding detail.

Not quite sure where to post this, but there are some pretty high quality Tau conversions for sale on ebay right now.

They're not really my thing, (they don't fit the image of the Firewarrior army that I like), but they've got alot of detail and appear very nicely done.

And no I'm not the seller, and I'm not trying to promote his sale, just thought they were interesting. He did a predator sort of thing with the FWs, shoulder mounted, auto-aiming guns.

He did some funky broadsides and crisis too, overly cluttered imo, but some of you might like that kind of style.
