Here it is... I really wanted my infantry to be the stars, warmachines are only to support.

Thane with GW + MroGromril + RoResistance + Oathstone 139
Thane with SH + RoFury + RoCleaving + RoFire + RoResistance 142

23x Warriors with SH + Full command 232

19x Hammerers with SH + Full command + RoCourage +RoDetermination 327
8x Miners 88

1x Bolt Thrower + Engie + RoPenetrating 85
1x Bolt Thrower + Engie + RoPenetrating + RoBurning 90
1x Grudge Thrower + RoAccuracy + RoBurning 110

Total = 1996

So this is a much revised list. Keep in mind, the opponent I will play most has a vampire counts army. My overall plan is centered around the longbeard unit, in it will go the armoured thane and the bsb thane and keep the precious +1 CR it offers safe. Everything else will supplement this very unit. No idea what to do with the extra 4 points. But most of all, I'm just wondering if this list has any merit, or if its a complete dud.

If your army is going to be centred around infantry then I think you should put the warrior unit up to 24 (25 with a thane) so that it needs 5 dead dwarfs to panic it.

Also, are yu planning on advancing to wards the enemy, or waiting for them to come to you?

So I got the warrior unit up to 24, will be joined by the runesmith. The hammerers remain the same, will be joined by combat thane. The Longbeards are still the focus, being joined by the armoured thane and the bsb thane who now has a RoBattle. My plan is to maneuver defensively as my opponent charges up to me. My warmachines are there to entice them to march forward.

Right.
you may have some problems with shooty and Magically powerful races( elves!) because they may equel you with their firepower and also bombard you with magic
However, if you use your miners well and you control your power dice well then you will hopefully be able to deal with them!
Finally, with the second thane, then you should definitely challenge people at least some of the time, due to his powerful stats.
