I play HE and often play against VC and this is what I would do if I were you.

You will want Dark Alcolyte and master of the black arts on your lord with lord of the dead over forbidden lore. Swap the sword of battle for the sword of might, the STR6 is vastly superior to your additional attack. Nightshroud is critical against us HE, the books works great. Find pts for the 4th magic level.

Take the ghasts and the doom wolf out, no need for them.

I would consider dropping the necro and a corpse cart in favor of a vamp with flying horror and avatar of death with a greatweapon and the Hand of Dust.

Drop one unit of Wriaths in favor of a Black Coach, the coach is nearly impossible for us HE to deal with without a star dragon or the star lance.

I would drop a unit of fell bats in favor of hellish vigor on your balck nights.
