its your general corner defence army with the stone thrower and anvil behind the warriors/longbeards/ironbreakers.
the thunderers form an outer wall which will flee when the enemy gets close enough. the organ gun will sit near one flank to close off enemy skirmishers and blast anything else that wants to get close enough. . the BSB will be hovering behind the main battle line providing supporting re-rolls and engaging the odd skirmisher unit that might filter past

you said that you were putting a master engineer with your cannon, but it doesnt look like you bought one.

also i put my BSB behind my lines, and the MRo Stromni Redbeard helps alot. hope this helps.

with 150 pts of runic allowance, I would expect your Runelord to have some more punch really.

A rune of penetrating on the bolt thrower will help considerably Vs chariots.

A few runes on your chariots would help you decieve your opponent, or make your combat more interesting at the least.
I would say get another block of Warriors with GW. You have plenty shooting power and a magic phase so you can with no trouble take out one of the Thunder units. Depending on, what race your gonna fight, just get rid of the rune of penetrating on the Grugde Thrower. You dont really need it, as str 4 is good against almost race!
Ummm no armour save allowed :tongue:

Or if you dont want that, you can always pump up your IBs unit to 25 and perhaps the longbeards too
ok i tried again with the list with certain ideas added to it any more ideas to help are welcome

(it is in my general opinion that if a model goes much higher than 300 points you've done something wrong. and seeing as that rule is automaticlly breaking that rule ive minimised its equipment as best i can. so a 1+ save will do.)

im taking gungni's suggestion with the BSB and planting him just behind my lines to spread +1 combat res goodness and still give the force those re-rolls)

(S5 in my opinion is VERY much worth the 25 points the fact that ill be wounding T3 on a 2+ and on average wounding chariots (assuming i only glance and dont get dead centre) on a 4+ that 45 points would probebly earn its self back quickly.)

im flattered that you are taking my advice, i think the BSB will do alot of good. also i know you said you dont like characters costing more than 300, and i dont have my book in front of me but i think it wouldnt hurt to give you runelord the Ro luck, just in case you slip up on rolling for the anvil. i just thought that would be some nice protection from a misfire with the anvil.
sadly that would not help, the rune of luck has been tweaked so you can't use it to avoid missfires :/
