Hey guys, I'm starting a space marine army;Y

The main idea is that the first company was acting as an escort for an incredibly important delegation of explorator magus returning to mars with vital relics that would lead to the downfall of the necrons. Unfortunately warp anomalies cause them to go off course and they end up completely in the wrong place and about 300 years in the past. (marines from the future! ;o)

Any who, the magus decide that to preserve continuity, they should lay low (as much as it's possible for a fleet of several capital ships to do)until the time that they disappeared in the first place, so they chill there, and the techpreists assist the 1st companies techmarines to repair war gear, and eventually, build more.

The traits are to make the tactical squads as much like veteran marines as possible, Because the list is meant to represent first company. I would have taken the no allies thing as part of the "lay low" fluff, but my friend has some admech guard that i might occasionally ally with.

I also tried to stick with the fluff, eg, the scout serg. has no need for termi honours, except that he's meant to just be a veteran that prefers the use of stealth.There's a preference for thunder hammers (chapter name "the malachite thunderkin" thanks arky), hence why the tactical serg.'s have them instead of powerfists.

The main thing I'm dubious about in this list is my heavy support section, the idea behind them was to have 2 castellan, 1 vengeance, and mine area's that light infantry might move over. I could effectively ignore their presence with my termi's, and they'd create bottlenecks and suchlike. But I wrote this list quite late, and re-reading it I'm not sure I like the idea.

Comments on a better heavy support section would be greatly appreciated, but any other comments are also welcome, please try and keep it fluffy also. This is not a competitive army, so if there's old fluff about standard first company support, that would be great.8Y

PS. some people might note that I kept within the FoC, which is not strictly necessary in apoc. but I prefer to do so, just in case I want to play a normal game.

I like it. This is theme that I've been throwing around with my marines for some time now. Looked a lot like that. Also like that you tried to deck out the Tacticals like Vets. This is an army that I'd love to see in action, it would be a lot of fun.

Why exactly do you have scions of mars as a trait?
That's mostly for fluff, I can't imagine a first company escorting an explorator magos without it having very close ties with mars. Nor can I imagine that many terminator suits in any chapter without close ties to mars.

I do admit that I haven't used any of the advantages the trait offers...perhaps I should get rid of it and take away one of my disadvantages also, but I'm not all that concerned about it.
