okay i got invited to join this campaign with about 12 other guys in our gaming club and it's pretty standard fair, gothic battle and if the attackers win they get to assault the planet and if they lose the defenders live for another turn unharrased. the firstbattle is to represent the scouting party that the main force sent ahaed if i win sed scout battle i get to choose my table edge in the coming big battle (2000). i havn't played sisters with anythinless then 1500 in ...arr (when was the codex released) so i need a re-introduction to 40k in 40 mins real quick so ANY advice or tacs are welcome (and desperatedly needed  ).

this is my first attempt;

15 sisters, vet superior, power weapon, heavy flamer, stormbolter, 206
vindicare assasin, 110
palatine, jumppack, blessed weapon, 85

the whole thing is 401 points, in an ideal world  the sisters would lay down some magor firepower thinning down the numbers, the palatine then uses her jump pack to run out and finish off the (hopefully) weakened unit while the vindicare takes care of heavy weps and champs to reduce risk to palatine and squad.

TO me the assasin is too much of a points sink. For such a small game numbers is best i find. Try two squds of ten with vet superior (don't give PW, as u want to shoot and costs too many points), HF and SB. Keep the palantine. NOt usre how many points that is but it might do a little better. Plasy test the list before u try.
drop the assain and palatine. You may value their killing power but the 15 sisters is the only scoring unit in your army. Add more troops. Seraphim and Retibutors with heavy bolters will do you justice in combat patrol but lower the sisters squad to 10 to fit these in.

In a campaign mission objectives are very important, you want as many scoring units as possible, not single models to throw away victory points to the opponent.
Drop the assasin certainly, personnaly I prefer sister foot squads in 400 pointsd, the palantine is a nice to have if you are at odd points, but without litanies, the cloak and frags she is over exposed and you atart to wander what is her purpose, after all, your opponent can not take major HQs, You should be able to fit 2x 15 strong squads of sisters on to the table is you stick with storm bolters as special weapons, this gives you a heck of a lot of bolter shots, the alternative I would suggest is a sister squad and a serephim squad

of these lists, I prefer list 3, I dont liek the inclusion of a single vehicle, if your opponent has managted to squeeze an ML in his list it is dead meat.

Personnaly I would still ditch the HQs
I like having a HQ in small armys... But the crusaders are over the top... Maybe have more faith! Faith in the mighty one!
list 2 is also cool... but the crusaders are over the top...

IMO kill the crusaders and inquisitor and by a faith HQ and some more basic sisters...
yeah i don't use faith as much as other people usallly out of 10 points i use 5, to me it's their for when your in trouble and my sisters usally arn't.
Yeh i prefer 3 the most though I really don't like the foot slogging heavy flamer and the inquisital unit. Nice inquisitor and retinue can score but combat ability and usefulness falls short when compared, in addition if this is a tornament they will die quicker than what you have planned.

Personally I think one squad of battle sisters, a seraphim unit and some retributors might be a nice plan to consider. I remember you posting your hate for storm bolters but when you let off 6 shots a turn it does do wonders.
i don't hate strom bolters in fact i use them quite regularly but i am a flame nut (burn baby burn!) and the heavy flamer can be quite intimidating to non power armour or undead robot armies. i know i will never change anybody's mind on the =][= 's cus yall think they suk but i disagree i think the humble =][= is one of the best hq's or elites out there if only i can get the ret right. plus i love the symbol =][= =][= =][= =][= =][=

Me too, I much prefer alfmers to strom bolters ;)

just be careful you dont end up swearing in morse code there plague!

I dont think =][= suck, in some cases they are good choices, I just thing that a Cannoness is a better all round and integrated choice
nah inquisitors don't suck but then again they just arn't worth their points in the end when compared to the cannoness.
goin off topic though so which one?
