Dark Angels

They have too many guns :D . If he takes out the Hive Tyrants and Warriors, the Gaunts will go beserk. Minimal 'Nid shooting (3 Venom Canons...) means the Land Speeders will zoom around uncontested, Rending the Monstrous Creatures. It'll be like Dominos: Tyrants>Warriors>Carnifex>mop up the rest.
As long as the Dark Angels heavy weapons place target priority on the Synapse Creatures first and the Gaunt Broods are thinned properly, they should be able to negate the 'Nid player's ability to control his troops. Once done with that, he can floor any units in range to the 'Nid Deployment Zone and snag a very solid win.

Mission vote goes to the Dark Angels

The Dark Angels have a good fluffy army chock full of shootiness - just like a Dark Angels force should - and mobile Ravenwing support to boot. The 'Nids have a truly scary, hungry horde. Still, why is there only one Monsterous Creature that wants to rip stuff up and eat it? I'd think Carnifeces would want a much every now and then, and they can't grab them with guns...

Fluff vote goes to the Dark Angels
With all those multi-shot template weapons targeting synapse priority the nid army should be fragmented and broken down. With the army pretty much synapseless not many units will reach the enemies deployment zone to score.

I vote for DA.
Those LSTs will rip through the nids. The have enough heavy weapons to easily eliminate the synapse (3 plasma cannon, 3 plasma gun, 8 missile launcher, 2 lascannons, 6 assault cannons, 6 heavy bolters, countless bolters). There is no way the nids can last against that firepower. Also the command squad can drop down to take objectives or sandwich gaunts.

Dark Angels
Crushing victory to Dark angles.

The landspeeders will kill 24 bugs a turn.

Carnifex :
Two (2) Twin-Linked Devourers; Extended Carapace, Enhanced Senses
Lascannons can take him down.

Warriors Brood – Six (6) bugs
Toxin Sacs; Extended Carapace; Enhanced Senses; Synapse
Five (5) armed with Devourers and Scything Talons
One (1) armed with Venom Cannon and Scything Talons

These dudes have 4+ saves, so once they get close, the landspeeders will annhilate them, if all 6 shot theyd do 22 wounds.

So a single turn of shooting, as each as 2 wounds.

You get the idea.
These guys will fall to those MLS pretty fast. They will average 4 wounds a turn, so basically, cut the winged dude down in 2 turns, then swing round for the slower fex
Yeah...Missile Launchers aren't that good. Warp Field = 2+ save, so the Launchers won't even do 1 wound a turn. they'll do 1 every 2 turns. 8 turns later they'll kill it. And considering it will be in combat turn 2 or 3, they chances look bleak. The big fex can be taken down by lascannons, but will take 3 turns to do, and by that time they'll be pounced on by hormagaunts/spinegaunts.

I still vote Dark Angels But not for the reasons forged mentioned above - The land speeders will simply cull all the faster bugs, and by the time the bigger ones get in they will have no support, and just get force weaponed by the librarian.
i vote DA
-terrible nid list, and tons of shooting on the DA, the assault cannons, plasma, and lascannons will take out the MC's no problem.

-terrible nid list,
Out of curiosity, why is the 'Nid list "terrible" in your eyes? I found it to be quite balanced, and while I won't comment on whether I think it'd do well against the DA list or not, I think your one word description of the 'Nid list is extremely harsh, especially without any reasons to back it up with.
-it has small, useless squads of guants, a shooting tyrant , and shooting warriors, all of which i think are utterly pointless.
- also it can't seem to decide what it's doing, since most of it is shooting, but the other tyrant, and genestaelers seem very odd and out of place.

Right, it can through gaunts (in insufficient numbers) at the enemy, but there isn't any purpose to them getting there, since they don't have any bigger creatures that are trying to reach combat. In fact, those gaunts will make it harder for the warriors to shoot, once the gaunts reach cc. Also, the nid shooting is comparitively weak. Generally it's problem is that it hasn't committed to any strategy, but rather is aweful at everything.

I vote Black Templar EDIT:... who aren't in this fight... right...

Alright, thanks to those who brought me to my senses.

I vote Dark Angles
odd voting Black Templar when Dark angels and Tyranids are the ones fighting. lol

Nah I don't drink caffiene. This is what comes from trying to write 3 replies at once (not a good idea. By the way, hilarious responses. I should make idiotic mistakes more often. Editting...

Some people call this balance, though you do have a point.

The DA despite thier over reliance on the truly spectacularly attrociously godawful ML will blow the Nidz away. I suppose at least they can wound warriors on a 2+.

Lascannons on Fexy baby. LSTs reap, well anything they shoot at tbh. Plasma's good against everything.

The DA command squad hasnt been mentioned. A Librarian (Librarians are good v's Tyranids) 2 melta guns a powerfist and some power swords. Plus a Pod to get to the crisis point/melta a wounded beasty.

The Unforgiven
The Tyranid list isn't 'bad' I suspect that it's just a generalised list rather than a specialised MEQ killer. The only major mistake I see is not Scy Tal and not Rending Claws on those warriors.

Still - Dark Angels
