Please see this thread on how to participate in these games. I want to stress to everyone that the mission means everything. He who stands the best way to score Victory Points should be the winner. All missions have the Infiltration, Deep Strike, and Victory Points special rules.

Tactics:
Use the two footslogging squads as a firebase, hunting tanks and MEQs alike with covering fire. The larger Troops squad goes with the Emperor's Champion in the Land Raider Crusader, and the Marshal goes with the Assault Squad. The Land Speeders provide anti-tank support, and the other two Rhino squads support the Assault Squad and EC squad in close combat - the worse WS of the Neophytes is countered by the EC's vow.

Tactics:
Race up and blood rage all the way (hopefully) thanks to the Talismans of Burning Blood. The lord will remain near the troops if there are railguns so he cant be shot at. If not he will race up and tie up shooty units while the rest of the army adavances. Once close enough, up pops the bloodthirster and if even more cc support is needed the defilers there. Enemy armour will be taken care of as there are 2 monstorous creatures 2 predators, defiler and each aspiring champion has a power fist.

These 2 armies will run at each other like to magnets. They're going to crash into a huge cc melee. The WE will win the ensuing melee however. The troops alone will be throwing 145 charge attacks at the BT. 20 of those attacks will be from powerfists. The Khorne lord and Bloodthirster are more than a match for the landraider, each has the potential to take it out. Not enough of the WE will be killed before they reach combat. Because of the BT special rules they will run at the WE when shot at. The preds and defilers can attract the BT's forward. All they need is one squad to advance. Once this 1st squad is stuck in cc, the rest will soon follow. WE will win this battle.

I vote for WE.
World Eaters, Superior Assault ability, and firepower.

The battle cannon will punch huge holes into the lines of the BTs, probably the assault squad.
And the preditors can handle the crusader, eventually.

The blood thisther and demon princes are nealy invisable in CC.

Korn normal troops armed with basically ork compas. So the only save you can take in CC against them is 4+, so his power armour dudes will get shreded fast in CC.

Choas lords moves as though he had fleet of claw, every turn. He has base 7 attack, 8 on charge. 6 Strenth and toughness 4 wounds. Feel no pain save AND a 4+ invunerable save.
And he has 6WS.

Combine that with a blood thirster, and its over.

-i see a masiive 4 round melee in the center of the table, with WE winning hands down. the BT just can't compete in CC
I'm so jealous, I would love to play this match. The combat is going to be INSANE.

The World Eaters can throw more attacks, and hurt the enemies armour save. They'll emerge victorious of that. They also have much more powerful characters. The Templar have 1 real vehicle and a pair of flying Multi-Meltas: red meat for the Predators.

I love World Eaters. What an incredibly beautiful army.

I vote World Eaters for the win.

There will be a huge, and very entertaining melee in the middle, and basically the khornate chainaxes will turn the tide. Also, a daemon prince and bloodthirster in the middle will make the Black Templars....somewhat survival impaired.

Oh yes, and world eaters for the win, because Khornate Marines are better than black templars. Chainaxes, mark of khorne, and the bit about shooting forcing the BTs closer to combat.

Interesting, and good to keep in mind. Now that I look at that list again ... they do indeed bug me.

Black Templars think they are a close combat army but WE are a big dog. BT cant play on thier level. A bloodthirster, decent close combat weapons. More attacks all contribute to a Slaughter.

Marines are a shooting army BT are a contradiction in terms.

Black templars are just CC wannabes, they should try and stick more to shooting. There is no way they're going to win that brawl.
WE > BT, BA, SW, 13th etc

There is simply no SM cc army that can touch WE imho. Btw, whoevers list this is, thats the same khorne DP I take! (except I take frags too) :tongue:
